SWEantiX
Okay people .. Listen up, The last GFWL Patch made my game crash on startup. And i couldn't play it basicly, I tried manually upgrading and stuff which didn't work out. So i figured i could reinstall .. That is exacly what i did. mkey82
When you fix registry, the program will offer to create backup for you. You can save a .reg file and merge it into registry later, if you encounter any issues, but the risk is extremely low. You should also clear the temporary folders. mkey82
Try securom diagnostics tool https://support.securom.com/analysis.php You could also try removing all VC++ packages and installing that one again, but that may break some other game/program. TopHat01
Are you sure the copy you're trying to run is legal? Typically illegal copies get Securom issues. See this GTA:IV Activation support page to revoke your activation, and then when you reinstall you can link it back to your RGSC account. This old thread has some things you could try for fixing the launcher problem, namely Reinstalling Visual C++ 2005 SP1. Otherwise, this forum post shows another way to fix the problem. In the future, use the search function on this site, and general Google searches.
