Parts of mountains are disappearing!

Please help!

I just started using MapEditor in San Andreas and I tried to add an extra Mount Chiliad next to Mount Chiliad, it all looked perfect in map editor, but when I launch the game, I can only see some few parts of the mountain. What is happening? Why can't I see the rest of my extra mountain?

Try changing the draw distance in MEd, and look through the .ipl of the original mountain manually. Figure out the real programmed name of the mountain, maybe its mtnchl1 or something. Then in your head replace the first three letters with "lod". Now find the entry for this in the ipl. Copy and paste it to the bottom of your ipl file. Now go into MEd and figure out the coords. Change the coords of the new object in the ipl to those of the mountain. If all goes well, you should now be able to see it in-game. PM me or post a reply if you need this further broken down.

I don't think that's a LOD issue. Actually he placed the models on invisible side, and normally they're not rendered in-game cuz gta sa engine renders only one side of the model. Try to reverse the model's faces or rotating them.

No, the LOD helps you see it even if the normal one is messed up. And about the opposite-face thing, sorry, SA's not my specialty. blush.gif
