Heads Up: E.A. Shutting Down 25 Servers...

Recommended Posts

It’s no surprise that it’s not a good idea for companies to continue to pour effort and money into titles that are relatively not that popular.  EA has got lots of servers, and they want to offer their servers to the majority of gamers, who play the most popular EA games.  I don’t count it against em at all.  But if you head to your gaming rig of choice once a day, or even once a week and play one of these titles online, you may not have warm fuzzy feeling for EA right now.  Here’s the list of games EA’s servers will no longer be supporting, along with the date they will no longer be supported.

yay! more servers for Bad Company 2!

Would be nice, even if they're just used to fix the bloody stat retrieval.

I'd say it was worrying for the future, but there isn't a single game on that list I'm close to caring about, so perhaps it isn't.

So not only do people who buy pre-owned now have to pay for online they run the risk of there servers getting shutdown at any point! TBH i wouldnt miss EA servers if they all went down there a laggy disconnecting mess! the amount of time i hear my friends screaming on fifa because EA servers has magically disconected them during a game! I remember when i first played MOH airborne online even though they had sent me a e-mail saying welcome to MOHA EA servers said they wernt online even though my friend from down the road was playing online fine.
