Graphic Card with Pixel Shader 2.0 or >

Recommended Posts

Hello friends, I recently bought Sims 3 edition and facing few problems with the installation of the game. I didn't realize the need of pixel shader in-built with graphic card and can't run the game.

The present graphic card is in-built with the motherboard and able to play San Andreas and GTA 4 but having Sims 3 crashes coz of absence of pixel shader 2.0.

I need suggestions for purchase of a good graphic card that is complete in all respects and don't have to waste extra money on individual requirements of any game that requires any advance components in a graphic card to run the game(s).

Please suggest me name(s) of graphic cards that come with pixel shader 2.0 or > and advanced with cool features that is universal to run any damn game.

If possible please give product details taking Indian markets for retail outlets.

Thanks smile.gifsmile.gif

If you want a GPU that can run any damn game, you need look no further than the Geforce GTX460. Around £120 will get you a card that can hack just about everything currently released whacked right up to top settings.

notify.gif ur right!!.. and tried the way u said and thanks a ton!!!.. The program installer failed coz of GTA IV sharing problem with the inbuilt drivers. I had to uninstall to free up diskspace and let Sims 3 run. whatsthat.gif

Thanks a lot. For me it is a must and have no more problems after that but shouldn't the installer run even if GTA 4 has the requirement for the same???

Thanks all!! smile.gif

Most games will install, and some will actually load, even without the required drivers/pixel shaders/minimum hardware requirements. The problems arise when the game is required to run- that's when it will often just crash or freeze. That said, most newer games will give an error when they are started saying that something does not meet the minimum requirements.
