Blurry Iv game play

Recommended Posts

I just installed gta iv and everything went on well, with o.k display untill i begin to play the game, the screen is all blurry like an old t.v with no channel signal all i could see was the text about going somewhere to a taxi or something,i couldn't even see the road, only visible thing was the map, text, phone that popped up and tail light of the car i was in,everyother thing was blurry,i pressed esc. to go to the menu,i could see this well i tried all the graphics and display setting adjustment i could but no change, although in the graphics menu it gave a warning in red at the bottom right about some kind of over display rate or something, just a warning that i dont understand.

Please what could be the problem ive currently uninstalled the game, will re-install after problem is solved, please ive been looking forward to have this game for long

A friend gave me in a c.d soo its not original dvd from rockstar and i had to extract all kinds of .RAR parts from 4 dvd's before i could install

I dont know if the guy downloaded it from internet or steam or whereever but i want to play this game.

did you check the definition option? just saying it MIGHT be, and you may want to check out the gta ultimate graphcis tweak, they fixed the bad default gta iv blur

Here is the warning message under the graphics settings

WARNING: Your graphics settings are near, or exceeded the suggested resource limit for your system. It is recommended that you reduce your graphics settings in order to run the game optimally.

So i guess i will have to reduce my graphics settings, but i don't know how.

That's one of the security measures put into the game to make sure the game is legit or not-if you have this problem, then you are either using a illegal version of the game OR if you have a legit game, it means you have a No-DVD crack and/or mods in place that is causing the game to not read the security measures right.

With that being said, Is this the Original DVD or a Copy of the DVD? Do you have any No-DVD Cracks? Do you have any Mods or Trainers? Plus, please post the Required information from the Pinned Troubleshooting topic as posted by Justin(a Moderator) back here:

Before you post a topic, please read the pinned bug lists/fixes. It is likely that you're not the first person to encounter a problem, and we may have found a solution already. In addition to these pinned topics, please utilize the forum search engine. adamcs has produced an extremely helpful guide which explains the finer points of successful searching, accessible here.

If all of the above is no help, you'll need to post a new topic. Please provide useful topic titles. "Help" or "problem" give us no insight into the problem - every topic in the Troubleshooting forum will no doubt entail a problem seeking help!

To get the most amount of help for your problem, we need as many details as we can get about your system's specs. Therefore it is highly suggested (read: demanded) that you provide:

• What platform: PC, PS3, or X-Box

• What version number of GTA: IV

• What CPU and its speed

• How much RAM, also what kind (DDR, SDRAM) and speed

• What video card and vram and driver version

• Which version of Windows (and any service packs)

• Which DirectX version and driver version

• What sound card and driver version

• History: Is this your first install? Did it work once before? Anything that is relevant.

• Screenshots, if applicable. This is especially necessary with display issues which can be explained far easier by use of visual aids.

• Above all else, a detailed description of your problem. Give as much information as possible! Keep it relevant, though. We don't need a fifty-page printout from some diagnosis program. Usually the above prompts will suffice.
