No TV in GTA IV

For some reason, i can't watch any TV shows in IV. I'm still only at the beginning stages however. Are you supposed to unlock the TV shows? All i see is static. Pls help! Or is the static the loading screen?

I don't think you can watch TV Shows in your apartment on Tbogt. Please tell us if your playing Tbogt or original IV:)?

Alright, the TV shows are unlocked from the very beginning of the game-keep in mind that this is not real-life TV where everyone has Cable or Satellite, there are ONLY 2 Channels and the programs very. Since the TV is available from the beginning in the game, leads to the next series of questions:

 

What platform are you on-PS3, X-Box 360, OR PC? If PC, is this the Retail(DVD) Version OR a Downloaded version? If Downloaded, from where? and How much paid? Any No-DVD cracks? If Retail, is this the Original Disc or a copy of said disc? Any Mods? Any Trainers? Are you using xliveless?

 

In TLAD and TBOGT, the shows very depending on which version you have-for example, if you have the LEGAL Download version of those, then you will have the new shows and the original IV shows, however, if you have the EFLC version, then you will not have the original IV shows or radiostations-just the new shows added for the game..those too are open in the beginning..

To clear up any confusion, PC version 1.0.0.0, no mods or anything. Not even XLiveless.

 

System specs may be the problem, so i'm posting them up.

 

ATi Sapphire HD4670 1GB DDR3 128-bit

2GB DDR2 RAM

Intel Core 2 Duo

Windows Vista (No service pack. I'm running it under compatibility)

 

Could anyone tell me what the files are for the TV shows? Then i could check to see if they're there. And is the static the loading screen?

 

Finally, Original retail.

 

Will a patch fix the problem?

First thing you should do is update your OS to the latest SP-for Vista that's SP2. Also, update the game to the latest Patch. But you still didn't answer the other questions of: Are you using the Original DVD to play OR a Copy of the DVD? Any No-DVD Cracks? These are highly important questions too, especially since for Vista, at least SP1 is required as per the minimum specs.

Well actually yes YOU CAN and they are only two TV shows

I have the same issue, i am playing the original game from CD and I get static on all TV's it was working before IDK what happened

I found a fix: 

 

But for some reason the channels and shows keeps restarting from the very beginning first second IDK why, they are supposed to keep going in the background when not watching them until you watch them back or switch on the TV and you will see them in later different part
