WolfBattleCry Posted January 14, 2011 Share Posted January 14, 2011 (edited) Hello all, I just wanted to take the opportunity to announce yet another Roleplay for GTA 4 (the original version) that will be held on Xbox 360. "What will this roleplay offer that others don't?" Well, I would honestly have to say freedom of choice. In other roleplays, I have noticed that with the larger rule sets, there is much more difficulty in establishing ones' self as a character in Liberty City. Back in my older days, I teamed up with Advent Tutly to bring one of the most immersive GTA 4 roleplays available, and I'm happy to announce the start of another one that I've decided to host alongside GLR Shooter 977 starting this month, a little more than a week from today. In previous roleplays, our plot twists included, but were not limited to: assassination attempts, underground criminal syndicates, million dollar corporations, political corruption, faction wars, entrepreneurships, slumlords, business tycoons, etc. There is the option of buying property (both businesses and houses), acquiring many different skills, becoming specialized in a broad spectrum of jobs, etc. The roleplay is designed to have the flexibility to bend in any which way one chooses, to make it theirs or others, to come to power or abdicate, to acquire wealth or maybe not so much. Whatever you decide, the choice has always been, and will continue to always be, yours and yours alone. Edit: I would also like to add that this roleplay is completely non-obligatory. We understand that life likes to get in the way sometimes, and we do not see ourselves as a clan. There are no penalties for not showing up to roleplays, with or without notice. Take it at your own pace, and show up when you want to play. I know we didn't part on the best of terms, I'm not here to flame this topic nor join the roleplay but just to tell people who are interested in joining a roleplay then this is best place to go , Wolf + Advent = Made Greatest Roleplay. I've just finished rereading the forum guidelines and can assure you that it will not be a future issue. Just wanted to provide a site for more information, but will keep it strictly to this thread and XBL. Here is a brief rundown of how it's all set-up: Upon character creation, everyone is allowed to pick two skills to start out with and one job. Some jobs might require a particular skill, allowing for only one free skill (e.g. paramedics must have heal skill). Also, it is important to note that jobs do not tie anyone down. We've had people who initially signed up a taxi drivers and eventually start their own armed-security firms. The purpose of picking a job is either as a baseline to build something off of if you so choose, and also to declare a tier level, which decides how much you earn in income every game (*Every time you die, you lose 50% of your tier level income, so if you make $2000 every game, you will lose $1000 when you die). When you have no money left to deduct from, you have five minutes to find someone to cover your medical bill, otherwise your character dies and you have to create a new character. Money works in the same way as it does in real life. You may buy services from people, goods (cars, etc.), bribe people; buy up property, businesses, etc. We also typically have a government for which everyone gathers in Middle park for elections. There, a mayor is elected, one who can appoint police officers, commissioners, make laws, and pardon or even execute prisoners, and more. The possibilities in the roleplay are endless, and the roleplay itself is centered around player choice. It sounds complicated, but the one major rule is to not use skills you don't have, and past that, it's pretty much all up to you! We're aiming to start this all started up by next weekend, but are giving a week's notice in order to get people signed up, characters made, and everyone situated. I'm not sure I understand what you mean; Advent Tutly's had the same skill system that this one utilizes. Although it is true that this roleplay is heavily based off of Tutly and I's, I still believe that it is much more centered around player choice and player driven events than many other roleplays out there. Well, I'm undecided whether I wana get into the whole roleplay scene again. I loved the old 1 and I'm sure this will be just like it minus Advent and the other veterans. I don't know if I could show up to it even If I were interested in joining, seeing as Saturdays it's 2:30 am start for me which will probably end at about 4:30am - 5:00 am , and sunday is a clan/gang meet up day which would clash with the times of sunday. In a nut shell, I doubt I could participate even If I wanted to.
