Daz
Some of the Sega classics are now backwards compatible on the xbox one. So I can play Streets of Rage collection, Golden Axe, Sonic, Revenge of Shinobi on the Xbone which is win. It sucks there isn't some sort of like mega collection with like hundreds of titles. It would be nice to have that and be able to play 2 player games online with friends. The problem is there is too much licensing red tape and I will never get Mercs, Road Rash 2 and Streets of Rage all on the same game collection. Would also love a new Streets of Rage game, still a sidescroller, but just endless character choices and customizable moves and outfits. I liked Double Dragon Neon, it offered some of that but I dunno, maybe things just don't compare to the old stuff and never could. Fireman
I bought Tiny Toons Wacky Sports A couple of weeks ago at a retro game convention, it's one of my favorite SNES games played it soooo much you can play it online here as well if you want too. Then again downloading an emulator isn't that much trouble. not to bad I generally sell compete boxed versions for $25 I had to pay €20 for just the cartridge in a plastic bag. To be fair I never saw this game on a cartridge before in previous conventions, so it's quite rare it was also the EU version. On ebay and amazon you can find the US version, but haven't been able to find the EU version anywhere. Edited November 25, 2015 by Fireman

Streets Of Rage is a game I remember playing for hours on end with a mate. Golden Axe been the other. Would those titles really work today though, unless they were purposely made for the 'Arcade' section, rather than a full on release title. Nice pics, trip, seriously old-school there! Need to post more pictures though, remember the pictures of the Arcade Machines and whatnot. And also, Mister Pink, did you even pick any of the older consoles up in the end? Need to post more pictures though, remember the pictures of the Arcade Machines and whatnot. Thanks man. I try not to old man this place up with all my gaming history crap. My 1979 installment will have some real pictures soon. Most likely next week. Last night was funny - I ended up taking a break from FO4 and played a bunch of hours of Atari. Yeah, don't get me started on the arcade machines. Mine still make tons of money off of us. Everyone should have coin op arcade machines (at least one) - you get a deep respect for what we have now when you are paying a quarter a game. Well it is always just another way of getting return on products that people don't currently have direct access to. If an emulator like ZSNES can emulate all games and have netplay options, I don't honestly see why something else couldn't be done for current gen/pc. Just a big old collection of like 100 games, add a good user interface for connectivity so you are always connected with player 2 at all times, it could be hilariously good. Maybe it is just the fact that as time goes on there will always be less and less people that will want to play those games as people get older and die off who enjoyed those times. Which is why at least if a new remake came out it might get new people interested. Either way, I just miss how videogames and movies used to be produced. Which is why at least if a new remake came out it might get new people interested. Either way, I just miss how videogames and movies used to be produced. Sad thing about this is though, I highly doubt a high majority of the 'kids' these days would be able to play through an old classic and truly appreciate the game the way it's meant to be and deserves to be, thus the market will just stay the same for these older games, and the majority of these will already own the original in one way or another. Microsoft did brilliantly in releasing the Rare Replay collection though, but again, no doubt the majority of the buyers were the older generation who wanted to somehow return to the games they played as a child/teen, without having to fork out the high prices these games fetch individually. For me, this game alone sold me the Xbox One...when I have enough money that is! The PS2 has a decent collection of 'Classics Collections'...I've got about 5/6 lined up in my Amazon basket to pick up at some point. Emulators are great and whatnot, but nothing beats the genuine product.
KilnerLUFC
Double post and a bump, sue me! Went out and got myself a Wii yesterday, which I've been wanting to do for months now due to the well known exploit that can extend the life of it, which I'm not sure I can specifically name or not due to rules, but let's just say it's the best £20 I've spent in terms of gaming for a while now. Due to having a not-so-powerful laptop and the price of the older consoles been too much for me at the moment, it's good to be finally play through some of the older titles from my childhood. Not even down to nostalgia, the N64 had some of the finest games that have ever existed. Vik
KilnerLUFC
Triple post, but feel this topic needs re-booting. So after coming across a page on FB, I've discovered a shop in Bradford that is essentially heaven for any Retro-Loving gaming nerd, and at the age of 29, have finally come back in posession of an N64, along with Goldeneye and SM64. Not even just purely down to nostalgia, but Goldeneye still holds well to this age, even with the iffy animations that come with it... (Killing a guy mid-roll, only for him to stand up and then fall to his death)...No wonder this game can be praised for the basis of many future FPS titles. On minimum wage, but this is my new console that I aim to build a collection on; the main difficulty been the price the games go for...especially Conker's Bad Fur Day. Next console purchase is between a Dreamcast and the NES Classic... Vik
Femme Fatale
I've been doing a lot of retro gaming lately, like I said before, I'm becoming less interested in newer games. The most recent games I've played are Paper Mario, the Sarge's Heroes series, and the Six Golden coins Mario game. I'm planning to buy more games, most of them for the 64. Mister Pink
I loved 6 Gold Coins. Had that on my original Game Boy back in the day. I also found a site that allows you to play a browser version of it, can't think of the name now. Anyone going to the new Snes re-release? I might get it eventually. Never had a Nes. It's about 60 yoyos and comes with 30 games. Only problem is there's not interwebs connection so I wouldn't expect any more released or updates for those 30 games. http://www.technewstoday.com/30558-should-you-buy-the-upcoming-nintendo-rerelease-nes/ Femme Fatale 1 𝙼𝚄𝚂𝙸𝙲 𝙽𝙾𝙽 𝚂𝚃𝙾𝙿

Hell, it's another console for my collection, and a lot cheaper than buying the original versions these days. Heard many mixed reviews of it though, with the most negative stating how out of all the games, it's only about 5/6 that will actually be of any major interest to anyone, such as Mario and Zelda. Be grabbing one some time next year, when they're back in stock and people aren't trying to flog for them stupid prices due to the high demand/lack of stock issue. Mister Pink
Yeah it's pity people were snapping them up to resell at ridiculous prices. I wouldn't mind getting one myself. Last night I started a game of Sonic and Knuckles on my Xbox. I never really played it when it was out. It's a little tricky to begin with but it's a lot of fun. scalliano
For the record, I am old. At least, old enough to remember pretty much all of this stuff the first time around (including the Atari - mine still works ). Nothing like playing Berzerk or Defender in pitch darkness. I actually have a corner of my spare room dedicated to all of my old systems up to and including 6th gen with an old CRT and a mess of SCART splitters. I actually have a corner of my spare room dedicated to all of my old systems up to and including 6th gen with an old CRT and a mess of SCART splitters. My set up isn't exactly as I want it, but for now it does me - The missus let me put some units up in the bedroom with not just 1, but 2, TV's on it, with all my older consoles and games underneath. Reason for having 2 TV's is the modern TV's don't support the older consoles, and a few weeks back after picking up my N64, the future mother in law happened to have one of those old big-back TV's laying around that she was just going to tip, so managed to bag it for free...absolutely perfect for my N64, and the other older consoles when money suffices the purchases. My 360 and PS3 are downstairs due to them been the online consoles so need to be nearer the router in my house. My ideal plan is to actually have a room dedicated to a man's cave, with all my systems and games neatly arranged...a proper nerdy games room if you must. Think i'm edging closer to that line where nostalgia is turning me more into a collector than a gamer, in a way. Don't get me wrong, I love my gaming still, but to say I've only played around 50% of my collection says something to me. I have a huge wishlist of games, and when I buy them in they just get shelved... Mister Pink

I even have a twin galaxies account and was suppose to have my score ref'd (verified) but then after King of Kong everyone got real good at DK and my score was more like top 30 when I last checked. I'm sure it has dropped even further since. It's been awhile. I dont have Netflix anymore, but I'm sure I can find another outlet to watch it...thanks for the heads up.
