I really need to buy a PS2 controller. MGS2, snake eater, the splinter cell series, GTA3. I have so many epic games i haven't played since years. Only downside is it's £16 wich is good money around here. Guess it'd be worth it though.

I asked about the smaller Sega Genesis didn't I? How do you use the volume that used to be on the hardware itself??

These Cash Converters/Generators places are always the best for picking up cheap retro games. Many a times I've found some old great game I'd totally forgotten about.

I saw Manhunt for PS2 on Amazon once for 1p, but the delivery charge was £2 so it kind of defeated the object.

But even so £2.01 for Manhunt, yes please!

Many Goodwill shops have their own Game cases. Now here is the best part about buying Video Games at Goodwill Vs. Pawn shops or Retro Gaming stores, Goodwill CAN NOT sell anything as an antique or a valuable object and this is because the store is a donation for the poor. That being said, they have to sell all their sh*t at a low price. So if they were donated a copy of something like a copy of Parasite Eve for PS1, they would have to sell it as cheap as 1USD.

@Slamman, ThePinkFloydSound: I feel old sad.gif.

By the way, did anyone ever play Sly Raccoon and those old Disney games like Donald Duck: Quack Attack? tounge.gif.

I've also been thinking of buying the original Doom lately.

Sly Racoon inlove.gif I'm actually going to pick that up next time I see it.

We should not neglect to share love and fond memories for Panasonic's 3D0 System, also supported hardware wise by GOLDSTAR, better known to you nowadays as LG Electronics

Here's KILLING TIME, a game that somehow actually managed to scare me and creep me out!

Same. I've never actually played it, but I watched a couple videos and it looks pretty interesting. Which is really saying something (for me), because I'm generally not a huge fan of FPS. Plus, I can play PS1 games now that I have a PS3.

Anyone know any good places that sell PS1 games?

So I found an original Playstation, 2 Sony analog controllers, 2 Sony memory cards, the a/v cable and the power cable, on the trash.

Perfect condition, not a scratch on it, so I was happy

Then...

...I thought, "Hey, I wonder if there's a game in it?", so I opened it up.

Ehrgeiz.

It's been way too long.

Can you use a cord from a PSP charger as a power cord for a PS2? I found one in the trash not to long ago but it was missing the power cord. So i took a cord from my PSP charger and it fit. But when i tried to turn it on it wouldn't work. I'm pretty sure the thing is broken because it was in the trash but i thought it might be worth trying. And i looked online and PS2 power cords are only like $3 so i will probably get one. Unless someone can tell me if you can use a cord from a PSP charger. because then i know the thing is broken.

Anybody?

Kind of a hard question as I doubt many people on here are from Switzerland, but try Google and see what results come up?

Finally got a new PS2 Slim ($150 brand new), i have never owned one of these and its pretty cool, the dual-shock actually works., i still have my original PS2 from early 2001, which doesn't work 100% anymore.

I looked everywhere for III VC and VCS, i had pretty much given up for the day and fortunately saw a second hand media shop, and what do you know, right there on the shelf all 3 just sitting there.

III = $8

VC = $12

VCS = $12

All the original books and maps were in there, and they looked like they had never been touched.

I could have gone on ebay and gotten VC and VCS new, but finding III new is challenging, it was cheaper to buy in real life anyway and i am not really 100% on amazon.

Lmao, I'm not actually from Switzerland. I just put that flag there because Switzerland is cool and they have a badass flag. I live in USA.

Gee USA? That narrows it down.

Be more specific, like what city at least, its not going to help if you live in miami and someone tells you about a shop in New York City.

If you want retro games e-bay it.

I'm still playing Jade Cocoon from PS1, one of the best games ever made for a console, with definitely the best soundtrack.

On the SNES I always play(ed) Biker Mice from Mars, Tiny Toons Wacky Sports, Iron Commando, Battletoads (f*ck yeah!) and Power Rangers.

Tiny Toons Wacky Sports was my favorite, it was the best button bashing game, I never broke a controller but my fingers went numb several times.

Well it's not really that big of a deal. I'm just looking for stores in general, because even if they're not nearby, I might be able to order online.

King here in the US, the best place to get PS1 games is local owned gaming outlets. Be aware you will be forced to pay "popularity" price at these. Yard Sales or Goodwill markets are cheaper. Be warned about flea markets here in the states. They will make you pay stupid ass prices. I saw games like Resident Evil for sale at these for $80 bucks.

WOW, I got a Panasonic R*E*A*L* 3DO game system this week for only $4 USD! However, no controller, it uses conventional AV and Power cord, so all I need is software and the proper controller. Anyone got/get a line on something, hit me up (not sure how, since PM for me is disabled, but here I guess)
