GTA IV Random Objects Spawn Everywhere

Essentially I randomly booted up GTA IV one day and randomly every place that has a bench has a "car wash" machine around it, and i mean they are EVERYWHERE. I can't even drive around without seeing at least 20. Another random item that spawns everywhere is gates, specifically the wood breakable ones. These spawn beside the newspaper machines on the side of the road usually. Whats causing this? I've tried reinstalling numerous times, either through the installer, by deleting all the gta iv data in the program files section, and trying to "repair" the install in the Installer file.

 

Has anyone else experienced a problem like this? If so, how did you fix it? Anyone have any ideas?

Uninstall the game, keep the savegames, don't revoke the license, delete the game install directory, reinstall the game, update it manually. If you have mods before, the file may have lingered after uninstalling the game.

I tried this, I updated the game manually, and it still has the same issue. Any other ideas?

Can we please try to figure out an answer to this? It's been plaguing my game as well.

 

You can save your time and not suggest that I reinstall.. because I did. The only mods I have installed are a few car mods (irrelevant) and ENB (also irrelevant). It's frustrating to walk through any park and see a bunch of car wash machine parts AND security gates spawn by every bench. Also makes walking to Meadow Park, extremely difficult considering that park has 50 benches along a single walk way.

 

If you need pictures, I'll upload some but I don't see what that's going to do. Just imagine a car wash drum and a security gate next to a bench.

Nevermind, I figured it out myself. Funny how looking up "car wash machine bench spawn glitch" on google gives you nothing but results on where to download the Native trainer. Keyword there is spawn, I guess.

 

Anyway, I was thinking to myself that I only remembered these random objects spawning all over the sidewalks, walkways, and streets after the latest patch. I wondered what could have possibly carried over from a previous patch that may have corrupted the games ability to know where it needed to spawn certain things. I knew it wasn't any of my mods. A thought or two later and I figured out that it must be the save games. Both of my save games were from the stock GTA IV, before I downloaded any patches.

 

I deleted my saves and there are no more car wash machines, security gates, or newspaper dispensers clogging up all of the parks. Unfortunately, had to start the story from the beginning but I was planning on doing that anyway.

 

So, all in all, this is a save game corruption error. Make sure if you're using the latest patch (1.0.7.0 or whatever it's called) that you restart the story. Patches aren't supposed to make you restart your progress but.. GTA IV can't be perfect, can it?

Did you try and start a completely new game, I recon your savegame might be causing this.

 

Edit: sorry didn't see the post above mine, there you have it. This usually happens when you for instance add new vehicle models, the internal ID"s get shifted because of it, and stuff appears randomly. The fix is simply starting a new game from scratch. This way the internal id's are aligned and all is well.
