I inserted Disc 2 to play it, but it comes up as an Audio cd. Here is a picture of how it looks. I'm not too smart with computer programs, so any help will be appreciated! Not the random street comments, but the stuff in the cutscenes with subtitles. You only need it for this, but the game requires its presence to play, probably because it also contains the radio stations. I have heard of copying the audio to your hard drive, but you'd have to mod the exe file, and there is no way to do this without voiding any warranty and probably breaking the copyright laws. You'll also probably mess up a lot more stuff and destroy your install. Bad idea. Easier to just keep the disc in a safe place and pop it in to run the game. Just run the gta3.exe or whatever its called in your game folder. That'll start it up. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I used to play it on my old laptop(RIP) back in like 2007 but I haven't played it since. Thanks alot for the help! I'm playing it now. I just need to buy a controller for this damn computer. I could care less about playing the new stuff. I'm happy with gta III and Vice City. cdoublejj Posted November 8, 2011 Share Posted November 8, 2011 Mine asks for disc 2 even when it's the drive. it's scratched really bad so i mounted an iso that doesn't work. i made it or so i thought i made so that game wouldn't ask for the disc if you know what i mean, and it still asks for the disc. this full on retail copy and i worked before on other machines i don't know why it's not working now. i have 7 x64 and tried compatibility mode that doesn't do anything.
