Honestly, it depends on the mood i'm in. I voted for Hip Hop, but I would also listen to Reggae, Dancehall, Eurodance, R&B, Funk, or Soul at any given time.

Rock hands down. If I'm in the mood I even like some country too, and although it's not often hip-hop.

My overall favourite genre is rock. I love the old stuff. icon14.gif

Good old fashioned Classic Rock. icon14.gif I never get tired of hearing Mellencamp, America, Don Mclean, etc. On the otherhand, I do have days where I don't feel like listening to Hip-Hop, Techno, etc. So I think the answer is pretty obvious in the end.

Wow, am only one who voted R&B?

I listen to mainly all the genres of msuci, aprt from metal/heavy metal. Top 5 list would probably be:

[01] R&B

[02] Underground Hip-Hop

[03] Indie

[04] Bassline

[05] Soul

But as many others said, it depends what mood am in and what am upto.

I enjoy so many genres and it's all thanks to Grand Theft Auto.

GTA III got me into Trance and Drum & Bass

Vice City got me into 80's Pop

San Andreas got me into 90's Rock

Vice City Stories - 80's Hip Hop and Rock

GTA IV - House and Techno

GTA V - IDM and Funk

Overall though, my favourite genre has to be House and Dubstep along with some Drum & Bass, Trap and Glitch Hop.

Electronic Music <3 (Better not say EDM, because some people misinterpret it.)

Drum and Bass/Trance especially and Big Room Progressive House (2013 style) as well.

European music is the best btw.

DRS (Drum n' Bass (rapper but y'know...) and Above & Beyond (Trance) is the real sh*t.

Electronica, but it all depends on the style. As the good dude above said, amongst my faves are also Drum and Bass and Trance, but I also love Techno (especially Acid), 90's/underground House, Experimental Electronica (not using the term IDM since we, composers, hate it) and Hardcore Techno/Hardstyle. The world of Electronic Music is so gigantic that I ain't able to list all the genres, but I can freely say that I completely hate and dislike modern Dubstep (better said, Brostep, the bullsh*t sh*ttex, um sorry, Skrillex invented), Pop Electronica that is completely overrated and modern Polish Disco Polo (this genre is an abomination, whoever sings about bananas and ass all the time won't get my respect).

Punk, oldies, all kinds of rock, some reggae, some jazz, some old school hip hop and a drop of old country.

Rock music for me. My music list on my phone may stretch nearly 60 years (1954-2010) but the overwhelming majority of songs are in some way or other rock and roll based. I could never get into hip hop, rap, techno, newer pop music, or really any of the other option listed. There's a handful of country songs I like though, mostly out of the late 80's and 90's.

Arrows to Athens

Alternative Rock. You can pick out any band under that genre and there's a good chance I'll enjoy them.

Try giving Arrows to Athens (Same as my GTAF username) a listen. A great example of modern alternative rock. They've released one full-length album and one EP. They are so incredibly underrated, it's almost criminal. Arrows to Athens is one of several project bands by David Hodges, the band's frontman, songwriter, and vocalist. He was actually once part of Evanescence, the band that released the worldwide hit (and now meme) "Bring Me to Life", also co-written by Hodges. He's also worked with the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Christina Perri, Demi Lovato, Avril Lavigne, etc. But I bet you that a lot of the people who like the artists that David Hodges worked with have no idea that the songs they like were co-written or written by David Hodges, because that is the world today. The kids don’t care about the back story of the song. All they care about is the end product. Hodges has also released solo albums of his own, one of them being The December Sessions, which is a series of concept albums. Check out his most recent one: The December Sessions Vol. 5, as well as another solo album titled Discrepancies in the Recollection of Various Principles / Side A. The songs on those two albums are quite radio-friendly and infectiously catchy, but because they were released by David Hodges, practically nobody's ever heard of them. Had they been released by a bigger artist, like Imagine Dragons or Twenty One Pilots, they would easily be in the Top 40 receiving extensive radio airplay. But of course, it's not just Arrows to Athens/David Hodges. There are plenty of other underrated artists out there that don't get the recognition they deserve.

Ashes Remain is also another great one. Their 2011 album "What I've Become" is phenomenal.

Both of the bands I just mentioned are extremely underrated alt rock bands, with Arrows to Athens being almost unheard of (they don't even have a Wikipedia page). If both of their albums had Maroon 5 or Coldplay as the artist, I guarantee you that all or most of their songs would be smash hits and rocking the top charts.

Sorry for the long post. I can get carried away sometimes.
