Some RAM missing?

32 bit. Why? What is the difference anyway?

32 bit will only recognize up to 3 gb of ram. If you want to utilize the extra 1 gb then you need to upgrade to a 64 bit version of your operating system.

32 bit systems can address up to 4GB addresses and hence you can have only a to total of 4GB memory. The problem is, those addresses will include everything

* system memory ranges

* VRAM

* RAM

so when it all adds up, you usually end up with about 3.2GB of available RAM. To make things more interesting, user applications by default can allocate only 2GB of those 4GB addresses, the other half being reserved for the system. 32 bit systems are becoming very limited in this regard, as memory became cheap.
