multiplayer problems .

Recommended Posts

heey, i got a problem with invite my brother, to my game . We have played together before, for about 2 months. But now, when he get the invite and try to join the game, it load, but then says: this game session no longer exist. Return to single player.

We live in the same house, and both of us play at our own PS3, and same network.

Can this be the problem, if, then why have this been a problem before?

I just bought a new controller, can this be the problem?

I have no problem inviting other friends to join the game.

BTW, my brother can't invite me either, same problem.

Sorry if I post this question in the wrong forum, I'm new in this smile.gif

This is a rather common problem. Fixing this issue requires some networking knowledge, because you might have to open ports through your router.

Seeing as you're on PS3, you should try to open the following ports;

UDP ports: 6672, 28900

TCP ports: 8000-8001, 27900, 28900

In order for this to work, you also need to set up a static IP.

You can find port forwarding guides at http://portforward.com -- on this site you can get a handle of the terms Port forwarding and Fixed IP addresses. First off you need to know what kind of router you have, and how to access the web interface with that router.

This is how I got rid of connection problems on GTA, so I'd say its worth a try.
