I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert... Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away"

A new synthwaved San Andreas, filled with the elegant cinism and artificial prosperity of late capitalism, is about to arrive...

I was more of unbelievable and I had to ask myself twice seeing an actual another DYOM developer joining discord server, and then it was really you! Welcome, Dutchy3010! And thank you!

Hi all to the designers in this subforum. Hope you are all doing well!

It's very rare to see you made another appearance in this community, but whatever. Welcome back Dutchy3010! 😊 🥳

We're all doing fine and under control here, despite the activity here is becoming obstructive nowadays. 🧐

how enter cartransfer in DYOM GTA san andrea?

I'm sorry, what? What do you mean with cartransfer? Did you by any chance meant to say "teleport to car"?

If yes, then here is how:

Add Objectives -> Player Objectives -> teleport to car (choose car, confirm and choose the attributes such as color, damage proof, fire proof, bullet proof and confirm again).

HEADS OR TAILS?

Spoiler

The coin flip dates back to the Roman Empire, where it was originally known as “Heads or Ships”. In more recent years, it has been linked to probability and statistics. In 1903, Orville and Wilbur Wright tossed a coin to decide who would fly first in their historic flight in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. The city of Portland, Oregon is rumored to be named as such due to the flip of a coin. Today, a coin toss is used in some sporting events to determine which team will possess the ball.

Coin flips are often used to learn about basic mathematical concepts, including fractions and percentages. They are also used to teach statistical concepts, including probability and relative frequency. Learn more about the mathematical origins of flipping a coin below.

Probability measures the likelihood that an event will occur, such as how likely a coin will land on heads when you flip it. Probability can be represented as a fraction or a percentage. As a fraction, it is represented as:

Desired outcome(s) /# of possible outcomes

When you flip a coin, you choose your desired outcome – the side you want it to land on (either heads or tails). Because you only pick one outcome – let’s say, heads – the desired outcome is 1. A coin has 2 possible outcomes because it only has two sides (heads or tails). This means that the probability of landing on heads is 1/2.

Percentage means ‘out of 100,’ and it can be expressed as:

(Desired outcome(s) / # of possible outcomes) x 100

So, the probability of landing on heads is (1/2) x 100, which is 50%.

Based on the calculations we just did, you expect that if you toss a coin 10 times, it will land on heads 50% of the time. If you test this with our Coin Flip game, you’ll see that is not always the case. Why? Try flipping the coin 100 times. Is the number closer to 50%? Most likely, it is. It turns out that the more you do something, like toss a coin, the higher chance you have of reaching the expected probability, which, in this case, is 50%.

Example:

When a coin is flipped 10 times, it landed on heads 6 times out of 10, or 60% of the time.
When a coin is flipped 100 times, it landed on heads 57 times out of 100, or 57% of the time.
When a coin is flipped 1,000 times, it landed on heads 543 times out of 1,000 or 54.3% of the time.

This represents the concept of relative frequency. The more you flip a coin, the closer you will be towards landing on heads 50% – or half – of the time.

I'm very much used to India bottling it in the knockout stage, so I don't really feel much agony in particular? They did have a very strong team this time around though, so it was a chance wasted. They made it past the semifinal this time but the Aussies are always a different animal in knockouts.

I can always joke that being an Australian citizen, the final was a win-win situation for me. (Just as a joke though mind you, I'll always back the Indian team)

As the 15th anniversary of DYOM approaches, it's time to reminisce about the game that revolutionized the open-world genre and captivated the hearts of millions of gamers worldwide. Whether you're a die-hard fan or a newcomer to the series, there's one modification that has taken the GTA San Andreas experience to a whole new level: DYOM (Design Your Own Mission).

I'd like to express my gratitude to @Dutchy3010 and @PatrickW for creating this incredibly fantastic modification that has allowed people to realize their aspirations. A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to this community, especially @SIZZZ for releasing the DYOM add-on, which acts as a coherent enhancement in altering missions. A massive shout out to the developers of DYOM RED and DYOM IX. I'd like to once again thank everyone who has helped bring DYOM to life by donating their time and resources.

Let the evolution of DYOM continue as we move foward! 🙃

Hey, what's up everyone? It's been a while I guess. I'm kinda thinking of postponing my retirement and returning to designing missions once again since I've been getting a lot of crazy ideas these last few days. I just wanna ask about the DYOM IX version. Is it stable? Did anyone use it before to create a mission pack without encountering bugs or crashes or whatsoever? Please let me know before I lose this motivation again.

Thanks in advance.

It's nice to see you back here after a brief period of time. I was thinking about you and some other guys whom I haven't seen in a long time or at least, those who I haven't been to able share words with. You were one of the people that joined my DYOM WhatsApp group. I hope everything is going well for you and your job.

Regarding your question, I'm sorry I haven't yet tried DYOM IX or DYOM RED. I've mostly observed favorable reactions, despite the fact there have been numerous errors that users had to encounter. Both DYOM RED and DYOM IX have not achieved the status of official DYOM versions, but you can still test them out for the sake of generating wonderful missions and having a good time.

Cheers ;)

Welcome back Gammoudicj. DYOM IX is functional and some designers have made missions using it. There's also a great addon called DYOM#, created by@SIZZZ, which is great and helpful.

I've got a question that I'd like to ask and I hope I'll get a definitive answer.

Because the use of the DYOM add-on is permitted in MOTW contest missions, I have a question: Does the DYOM add-on work for individuals who do not have the add-on installed on their PC?

When not using DYOM#... The ID-searched objects don't crash the game, because they are game-assets that the game already has and uses them on several points on story mode, so no issue there.

When not using AudioFX v2.0... The custom sounds associated to it don't work on the mission itself, meaning no audio associated to that addon will play, however,  the standard DYOM SDs with xx.mp3, xx.noa and am.mp3, do still work properly in the mission if there's any in it. (This also happens on the previous version of AudioFX, which was made by Satourn)

When not using SAMP Addon Objects, the mission will crash (which is why the usage of this addon in particular is banned in MOTW) because without it, the mission's unplayable, because of the game trying to load a object that doesn't exist whilst attempting to boot the mission, which causes an unmodded GTA SA to freak the hell out and crash.

Hopefully this information will clear out any doubts associated with the most widely known addons.
