@Notna Woah, buddy you're a real good poster maker! Looking forward to your mission series, good luck! :^:

Thanks for the warm welcome back, fellas. I've now finished designing "Vis Major" and will release it soon, just got to fix a few minor things.

Let it be known that this is not a one-time comeback project, but the beginning of my full-time DYOM return. After Vis Major is released, everyone who's expected feedback from me on their projects (Jimmy I'm talking to you buddy) will get theirs and then some. Followingly, I already have a big project in mind that I've started pre-production on a long time ago.

So, TLDR, I'm back bitches!

I hope not. DYOM needs you, bro.

Back in my day we used to do a lot of chitchat up in this topic so seeing that I'm one of the oldest fellows around, how about a cliche Q for all of ya nice people?

Name your top 5 mission packs/series/storylines! Don't have to be in order, don't need a reason why if you don't want to. But here's mine, simply in alphabetical order:

Codename Zulu (Mattatatta) - gotta go with a classic. Incredible gameplay, great characters, it's all there.

Hard Boiled (Jackal) - best mystery/detective storyline made, sequels included. Jackal's also a fellow Finn so that's biased. But love it.

No Rules in the Sands (Lukas) - Lukas is a classic machine but this just beats them all for me. Love the creativity in a "simple" gangster MP (with a really unique setting!)

Platinum Circle (Jimmy) - Jimmy is a masterclass storyteller and an amazing artist at one's finest, but he just overdid himself with this one. Incredible work, while gameplay was on the lesser side the story is so thrilling I've played the story twice on one sit. All of his stories are up there with the best (especially the Edge of High Life) but had to pick one.

The Tale of Betty Shore (Target13) - T made his way into this vet's heart with this one! Incredible story, gameplay on the lesser side as well but was super impressed on the design and setting of this one. Fantastic work, and the reason why I'm here again.

Would love to hear some discussion here again boys and boygirls!

The Odyssey

Great question. There's so many to choose from, but I'll just list the 5 that immediately came to my head

The Platinum Circle (Jimmy_Leppard)

SAPD Chronicles (Chimpso)

No Rules In The Sand (leoncj)

Las Venturas Stories: Hammer And Sickle (Rytuklis)

Hard Boiled (Jackal)

Check out my mission, Boss Rush. It took me a day to make, it's almost glitch proof and is a very creative mission concept.

Edge of High Life (Jimmy Leppard)

The Fort (Target13)

DYOM Puzzle (xghostx) (since he made the second version last year we can take this as mission series)

Codename Zulu (Mattatatta)

The Tale of Vladimir Reynolds (gammoudicj)

The Walking Dead (IX-MJ-XI) - First of all, I love mission packs of zombies, even more when the environment is well done. This is a good example of this. It's a pity that the author did not finish it.

The Story of the Transporter (Arejai) - If I have a good memory this was one of the first mission pack I played, it is one of the ones that comes to mind when I think of my favorite mission packs. A classic.

V for Vinegar: American Spring (THBP) - What else can be said that has not been said of this mission pack. It has everything that DYOM has to offer and is implemented in a way that few can do.

The Police Business (G.O.T.H) -  A pack mission that should have obtained more recognition. It caught me off guard because this is the first mission pack of a totally new designer.

The Runaway (Jimmy_Leppard) - Also, one of my first and favorites mission packs that I've ever played.  In it's time it was one of the best mission packs.

Is there ever gonna be a V9? I mean, I'm happy with what we have now. but, some new helpful features and improvements would be nice.

Codename Zulu - absolute action masterpiece

The Flats - hands down the best gang war themed project out there

San Andreas Stories by leoncj - despite it being outdated as all hell, with awful English and technical mishaps, it will never leabe my top-5 purely because it's the first DYOM project I've played

No Rules In The Sands - probably Lukas' best work so far, really needs a remaster

The Platinum Circle - this is Jimmy_Leppard at his peak. Also I only now realized that this project is almost 6 years old, holy sh*t

Join the line, pal. It's been years since all of us are waiting for a new version. There's nothing we can do about it.

I've always been wanting to make a trailer for my MP What Pain Means, and @The Half-Blood Prince had been repeatedly reminding me to make one before the ceremony of the DYOM Awards.

So here goes:

Hope you like it! Subscribe to the channel if you'd like, too!

Also, @Target13, your attention to detail with the website is once again impressive.

Maple: Gen 3 SyRup will be discontinued (this one is actually funny)

These are little things that are normally not considered when making a fictitious piece of art like you did, but little things go a long way. Well done.

@ZekoX Just do it. From the few missions of yours that I’ve played so far, you seem to handle action sequences really well. Just keep in mind that the story of the mission pack is also of considerable importance, at least in my opinion. But by all means, go ahead.

And in case you’re thinking of asking me this, I haven’t played Silence Scream 2 yet. But it’s definitely on my bucket list.

Why not? You have the right to do whatever you want. You're a designer aren't you, then you should keep up designing.

Personally I think the reason that he's asking is to see if players will like it or not.

Let's keep the chats going! If you had to recommend one of your own mission packs/storylines for everyone to get a good glimpse of your work, which one would it be? If you've never made an entire MP or SL, just submit the favorite mission you've designed.

Personally, of course, have to go with Vis Major as it's my latest finished work, and it's been 3 years since the one before that so there was a lot of time for improvement inbetween. Take that with a grain of salt, though, as there's a lot of even better stuff on the way, soon ;)
