Annoucement for San Fierro Auto 4: Downfall Chapter 2.

Release Date: Mid-November (not exactly when)

Reason for being late to release it is busy study for year-end exam and to fix some bugs in some missions.

Hi guys.

I will open up a new mission series topic tomorrow, didn't make it today. However, what I can tell you is that it will be something I was looking to do for a little while now. With the introduction of this new mission pack, I will officially open what I call it, a ''JLDU'' - Jimmy Leppard DYOM Universe. I asked about that idea not long ago here in the lounge and the responses were positive. So, the mission pack that debuts tomorrow will be set in the same universe as one of my previous mission packs. Certain cameos and larger role integration of characters from that previous mission pack may or may not be happening, you'll have to wait and see. :colgate:

Stay tuned for tomorrow.

While we patiently wait for the next major entry within the Target13 Universe to drop, TK420 has brought you five questions which will give you some insight

into the upcoming series.

Q: Will there be any appearances by other characters in the T13 Universe?

A: Certainly. The protagonist, Marcelo Chavez is one such character, who is making a jump into the series after appearing in The Fort, The Fort: Buck-L-Up and Agents of E.D.E.N: The Peace Circle.

A few other characters will be making an appearance, with at least one playing a major role in the story. Besides cameo appearances, there will be several references to other events and locations within the universe.

Q: How many episodes can we expect from this series?

A: Cowboys: The Tale of Betty Shore will feature 10 episodes across two seasons.

Q: Will this series focus more on the story or gameplay?

A: Like it’s namesake, Cowboys: The Tale of Betty Shore will focus primarily on it’s story and character development. Due to the 100 objective limit within DYOM, gameplay had to be compromised to include realistic and detailed storytelling. Approximately half of the episodes in the series will feature no gameplay.

Q: On what genre does the series focus the most?

A: Cowboys: The Tale of Betty Shore is a drama series exploring the relationships between various characters as their lives take an unexpected turn. While certainly having a more emotional and darker tone than previous entries, Cowboys won’t stray away from the more lighthearted and comedic moments that players have come to expect from the T13 Universe.

Q: When can we expect Cowboys: The Tale of Betty Shore to release?

A: While the definitive release date for the two-episode premier is yet to be announced, impatient players can rest assured that Cowboys: The Tale of Betty Shore will definitely drop this year along with a few surprises.

Make sure to head over to The Target13 Universe thread to get caught up on all events until now.

I might have to go with RDR on that one.

If you don't mind, the reason I decided to be active here again now is because my interest with GTAF was growing thin back then.

I think you're setting your standards rather high considering the quality of the average DYOM mission in 2018

No, but as a story focus guy myself as well. I understand the importance of avoiding making so many bland gameplay objectives regardless of DYOM project's theme and era of DYOM. If you're only into the great story and writing when it comes to playing one's MP, you can just cheat through the gameplay sections and watch the cutscenes while reading the dialogues in and out of gameplay objectives at the same time. Is that a much different experience from watching a great fictional movie adaptation?

EDIT: Beside that, I don't think compromising one's standard due to an era of DYOM can still make you a qualified reviewer if that act is the same as lying to yourself.

Don't vent your frustration at me.

Giving a suggestion that improving variation aspect at least until decent level regardless of designer's style is a way to improve your skill from good to at least great is "venting frustration"? Okay.

No, but criticizing my mp without playing it is. You have no room to talk, you're the last person I'd take designing advice from

No, but criticizing my mp without playing it is. You have no room to talk, you're the last person I'd take designing advice from.

There you go again, ignoring my arguments regarding the purpose of a trailer and the lesson of first impressions that answer "not playing the MP first". Like I said, I'm not going to respond this statement anymore because there's no point if you're that stubborn and ignorant.(I'm sorry but you've proven yourself as one. Not me calling you out if you're offended by this comment)

you're the last person I'd take designing advice from.

Because you keep thinking I am a disrespected user from my past constant worst moments until now while as of now I'm trying to decently make up for all of my mistakes? It's funny that you keep your judgment towards me for who I was in the past yet complain when I did the same for said project. I'm starting to think that you are ironic as a bonus and not any better either.

I always wanted to kind of make a last mission pack or storyline before I officially resigned. I haven't really contributed anything to DYOM for the past few years. This is mostly because of two factors: 1) my creativity seems to have died down, I can't seem to be able to come up with any original concepts that would not be worn out, unlike when I was designing LVS:Hammer and Sickle, 2) doesn't seem to be too much motivation around seeing the current state of the community.

Oh, and yeah..

3) the post above that pretty much sums up the immaturity of 95 percent of this community these days.

GTA San Andreas is a dying game, as much as you refuse to aknowledge it. More and more people have capable computers and are moving over to newer titles. Newer DYOM version is useless at this point. If they want to revive it, they need to focus on GTA V.

Agreed and understood, but I'm still going to do some more missions soon. Just for the hell of it. And if you do one last hurrah, expect me to play the sh*t out of that too.

@Target13 More like leaving the forums cuz of lack of free time haha. Games aren't big part of my life since a while ago. Life stuff gets in the way, and some things & interest change overtime. Saying this, it's not like I left. I've been here for a while now, and I will probably be, just not as active as I used to be back in the day when I joined. With that being said, I'm always having one eye look on internet stuff (including GTAF/DYOM) that interested/used to interest me.

I don't have a PS4😒, so playing GTA 5 will do the work. After a long time I finally get the chance to play it on my PC.
