@THBP: What I meant "Rail-shooting" is not simply standing on a big vehicle and shoot. Instead, the mission like "Reuniting the Families". We are given a big crosshair to shoot with other weapons that we couldn't normally use in regular drive-by and go to first person camera. Sure you can force it with current "drive-by" feature to use AK, but the weapon will be invisible and the camera will move slightly forward just like each time you aim AK on-foot. Making it too difficult to concentrate your aiming. Simply standing on a big vehicle and shoot will obviously contradict this feature in a mission.

 

Also, can we make triangle gang wars, and do not damage certain vehicles with objects alone? Or course not! This is where new scripts play major roles to make them into reality. And honestly, the static camera during gameplay thing should be a separate feature instead of doable with a glitch. Because that will probably make the objective unplayable for the future DYOM version.

I just observed that the very previous comments and it is sad to hear that everyone is leaving this community. Is there hope? This forum is getting dark, day by day. I don't know if the developers do really care about this modification but sometimes, i got a feeling that upcoming they are going to give us a surprise but suddenly, when i read the previous comments. I feel sad and no presence of anything (like wasteland).

 

Jimmy, bender, Springfield (Husnain), Green Goo etc.. are gone and like vanished in thin air. Some of these were the members who were keeping this community alive, safe and sound but they gone now in hope of finding something else which is more good than this community. I am seeing some inactivity also from newbies or those who were active these days but no slogans from them now. Is this community completely dead i mean seriously, where the hell is everyone. I see the other modding forums members list and i always kind of jealous from their ratings and rates of members lists online at a time. Are we collapsed and dump on ground?

 

I know that i am asking these foolish and non-sense questions but man, seriously, what will happen to this community. Keep designing is a good idea but what is the point if no one is getting any feedbacks and ratings by the peoples. Sorry, but i am not doing this for myself but for the future. Like i am here today, many people were. Like i am raising the slogans, many people were. Like i am motivating people, many people were. Our moderators think, "what is the point of all of this?" it is, for me and for everyone.

 

I think, this community is cursed. That is why it is not developing and let me to tell those members, who are in the hope of the day when everything will be united again. No, this will not happen if state is keep like this. They were get prosperity and only face those comments like "i see that the forum is getting back. I shall create mission pack soon", This is the biggest lie and the people who are still hanging here needs to deal with it. If they were thinking like this then i feel sad for them.

To be honest, some dyom designers never leave, they simply stop designing but they're still on the forums lurking around.

And if this is the end of DYOM so be it. Designers like THBP, the moderators, everyone, did their best to kept it alive. But I think DYOM will never die. It's just not active as it used to be.

Hey, how're you hermanos ? Online after 7 days. Looks like too much discussion about Dyoming skills, well by the way, I'm lookin' forward to see Dyom Awards results.. Good to see greaseball Bastard Yasa back again!!

 

One more thing, I want to mention which I desperately want to say, this has been the worst Mission Of The Year Voting, First time ever too much winners in MOTW, and no can give a sh*t to DYOM Section in Forum Awards. That's really bad and too much demotivating!

Quite frankly, all the real DYOM designers are in the main website, not here. It seems that this place has turned into some sort of corner for kids that have made 2 or 3 pathetic missions at most and think they are Senior DYOM Designers and have the privilege to spit this drama bullsh*t like they were around here for almost a decade. How quickly has everyone forgotten to actually create missions, and instead they bitch about the "good old days". And it's safe to say that they never even actually been a part of the process that built those "good old days". THBP is one good example to us all. He's doing his best to stay out of this little drama ruckus and actually takes that time to create very good projects despite what the place looks like now. He's one of the people that keep DYOM alive, not the pathetic little kids that keep living off of past fantasies.

Quoting my two cents about this situation from the abomination of a thread called DYOM "Memes"

 

I'm ashamed to have ever been a part of DYOM now that I see that this is all that the community is now. Immature and illiterate imbeciles which have humor from 2003 or something and can't even write a decent and original DYOM story anymore, let alone a single english sentence that doesn't have 500 errors. Rytis was right, and I still can't forgive myself for lashing out at him that one time for he has warned us all about this bullcrap. I honestly do not know how Pledge can even cope with this anymore, I'd go f*cking nuts within just one day of having to rule things in this basically kindergarten-grade abandoned subforum. I was shocked when I saw "Best DYOM mission" on the GTAForums nominations list. The GTAF mods probably didn't even take a peek to check that there are literally no missions eligible for this. Unless you count 2016, but I guess the awards are only for 2017. Otherwise literally the only thing I can think of to nominate for that would be V for Vinegar. It truly was the bang that DYOM went out with. And now we're left with a wasteland of crappy missions. I don't wanna have a big ego here, but I'd even nominate my own missions if I wanted to. My last few missions I left behind during BUYSAG are pretty much like Shakespeare plays or something compared to the crap I see floating around here. And don't even get me started on the less-than-half-assed "I make walkthrough for you" topics. Some seem okay and decent, but then there's the flood of ones made by the people that don't even know what they're talking about. Oh god. F*CK v9 of DYOM. DYOM is pretty much like the Simpsons now, it should've ended and died a while ago but it's still kept alive for some reason. Now it's a heap of sh*t and I really am 100% genuinely ashamed to have ever been part of it.

Well, what this subforum is today is certainly not what it was back in the day. I am not a member here long enough when compared to some others, but there was a time and there was the people. I know that. What this subforum is right now can rather be associated to some sort of back alley drama queen club, not a place where people discuss mission designs. As long as hardly anyone in this Lounge is actually talking about creating missions, sharing ideas, advertising projects - it isn't even remotely close to being essentially associated with the actual DYOM community (which, again, is found only at the main website). Despite everything, I agree with what you said.

Well, no offense, but Some old Dyom designers are just here to demotivate New designers creation. They always said that 2013 and 12 produced quality designers, no one give a back to newcomers. The great way in my opinion is just go to their profiles and atleast give some feedback and guides to their new missions. My point is simple stop this bullsh*t please.

 

On the other hand THBP, is the great example who talk less and create missions ..

He's getting feedbacks so, of course he will otherwise, who loves to abandon his/her mission pack. Consider, a person spending his/her hard time on his/her progress. When he/she uploads it. Respect has to be earned. No one is going to intentionally ignore good content. I partly agree with what you said - some seniors could really spare some time to give atleast a fraction of feedback, but on the other hand - I really don't think the Showroom right now consists of atleast "decent" content. I'm not talking about all the projects up there - some are okay, but the majority... Well...
