Dyom is not dead. Your creativity is. I believe everyone who says "dyom is dead, we need a new version" all the time haven't used even 40% of the features this tool offer to us.

 

Now enough with this bullsh*t and go create some sh*t with what you have.

No offence, but what good is atmosphere if you can only implement the same objectives over and over again? We need some features that I had suggested in the past to finally motivate us to design again.

Doesn't make any sense Dutchy come here tomorrow, release a new version if you all are going to use only 10% of its new features.

 

Objectives are relative to your creativity. This year still, 3 years after v8 was released, I found out and posted about the static camera bug, which open a lot of possibilities to make a creative mission. Last year, there was countless new stuff found not only with my packs. There's no reason to complain again and again when you can just improvise using creativity.

 

If you want a rail shooting or whatever, just consider another similar idea like drive-by in a Monster, or make the interior of the train using objects (improvise);

If you want a mission with 100+ objectives, just create a storyline with intro and outro, you have a mission with 200 objectives (improvise);

If you want to make a chase mission where the car of the enemy is marked with a color, just create a "teleport to car" objective, mark it with the color, teleport the player back to his initial spot, teleport the actor you want to chase to drive the car around and start the chase (improvise).

 

And so many others I can list you here, but I'm too sleepy to do so. Instead of complaining, let's just try to use imagination, because the tool is there, and it already gives you the possibility to create many sh*t out there.

Well said, Prince. That's something everyone begging for a new update should get through their skull. Funny how people believe that some new features can bring them "motivation" to design.

Making a new version is not such a big deal. Just download "GTA: It never ends" and switch to DYOM. Go to the load or save game and you will get your answers.
