VanZarko
Hey everyone. I'm having a really BAD experience with this handling.dat file. I replace/edit any original car handling line with the modded car that I downloaded, BUT the car still flips over. The read-only box is unmarked and I also went to the Properties>Security>Users and I put full control so I CAN edit the file. The problem is not with the handling line from the modder car that I downloaded because I've used these car mods before and the handling has worked before, but I've had some problems since then and I needed to uninstall the game, so now I'm getting VERY annoyed by the modded cars flipping over after I turn on a corner. Please help, I'm desperate have tried searching on the forums and nothing has worked. I have also tried renaming the filelist.pak file, but still NOTHING works. PLEASE HELP! =T.A=
You need to use the modded Handling from the car and edit the mass i have before some days the same problem Rob.Zombie say this to me If the car tends to roll over a lot more, it's because of the new model. Always use the modded handling included in the readme which usually fixes this problem. (this is 1 of the main reasons you need modded handlings for the cars) Anyway some handlings are optimized for only 1 car. So you shouldn't use it on original or other car mods, cuz it might not work well. Like the car will have weird physics, or the center of mass will be pushed in a direction. Thank you very much, but I already tried this and it didn't work. Also I got it fixed. I double-checked the filelist.pak file and I just renamed it to filelist2.pak and ALL of the modded handling from the cars that I replaced worked. Thanks for your help though Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/466936-handlingdat-editing-not-working-in-the-game/#findComment-1060284872 Share on other sites
bgh357
Please, tell how do you do. I'd installed GTA IV then... 1.0.1.0 1.0.2.0 1.0.3.0 1.0.4.0 then... Super pack 140 Vehicles v4.5 then... -Asi loader v1.9 (Dsound.dll), -Trainier.asi, -Trainer.ini, -ScriptHook.dll, -ScriptHook.log, -The folder named "Scripts", Then.., Magik Patcher in common/data and pc/data That's all. The specifications in handling.dat & Newhandling.dat never work! I(d put the fils in "not read only" and i've the same problem. Thank-you for answer me. P.S: Whats is a "Decrypter fils"? sigh.gif Edited February 25, 2011 by bgh357 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/466936-handlingdat-editing-not-working-in-the-game/#findComment-1060354122 Share on other sites
