Good point. I didn't take part in the previous discussion in this topic regarding whether or not Tommy and the Forrellis were Italian or not so I can't say why it was brought up. But I, myself, am of the opinion that they were Italian or at least Americans of Italian decent.

If you weren't here for the heritage discussion, why were you?

Who said that I wasn't? I was referring to the argument that broke out about whether or not Tommy and the Forrellis were Italian or not and how the name "Vercetti" is pronounced. In case you missed it, most of the discussion that took place in the previous pages was about that.

I was here to give my own views on Tommy's ethnicity before David's post, claiming that Sonny was the guy that ambushed the deal caught my eye. Thats why this entire discussion about Sonny's original motives started in the first place. Hope that clears any further doubts you may have.

I'm surprised their is even a thread on this. He is obviously Italian-American.

Agreed. I've only just seen this thread and i'm a bit late for the party but I feel compelled to post as some people here obviously haven't played the game or they are just f**king stupid.

1.Tommy Vercetti is an american of italian decent (aka an italian-american) and native to Liberty City.

2. He is a former member of the Forelli family.

3. Regardless of how his name would be pronounced in italy, he himself pronounces it Ver-set-e.

4. Umberto Robina considers him a Cuban, but he isn't actually in any way cuban.

Ray Liotta was born and raised in New Jersey and is supposedly of Scottish decent, but was adopted by italian parents. He tends to play italian-americans in films.

Robina doesn't consider him a Cuban. He said "To us, you Cuban" to show respect. He said Tommy was equal to them. He didn't think he was a Cuban.

Consider and think are 2 different things, I consider my best friend to be my brother, but I don't think he's my brother.

Ooooh sorry, bad English understanding from me.

He's probobly full blooded Italian or he wouldn't of been able to be made into the mob. He was made wasn't he?

Firstly, you don't have to be a full blooded Italian to be made into the American Mob. Secondly, don't bump topics that are already dead.
