Daz drives like driver should be played, lots of speed, lots of near misses, powerslides, damaging the enviroment etc. This game is getting bought for sure when my box is fixed, i'm turkeying for another high speed persuit around the hilly part of the city!

I'm really looking forward to playing this. Kind of reminds me of what Test Drive Unlimited 2 should have been. Awesome, fun driving. Got a couple of questions though..

What are the interiors like? Are they just really basic? And can you move your head around? (I like driving from inside lol).

And I assume there is no intention for bikes in this game? Lastly, do cars come in different colours or is it just one colour for each model?

Sorry if this info could easily have been found. I did check the site for Driver.

Algonquin Bridge

If we're posting replays, I'll throw my mediocrity into the ring:

Probably my favourite muscle car in the game.

Interiors are detailed and you can look around a little, but it's still kinda limited.

No bikes, correct.

Each car model has lots of different colours.

Interiors are pretty detailed, each car looks really good, the only problem is you cant really look around like you could in test drive unlimited 2, you can only look left and right slightly and zoom in forward, its slightly annoying as if you go too far to one side you may accidently look behind, but if you dont touch the analog it looks good.

There are a few colors for each, others have alot more choices, sadly the only way to change the color is to go into the garage and pull the same car out again, which can take some time to get the right color, this also goes for with the top down on some vehicles. I didnt even know there was even a roof for the old Camaro SS simply because it never seemed to drive around with the roof up.

I got abit sick of the Ford Mustang fastback, for it being in Test Drive Unlimited 2, it didnt fit in that game, there were no powerslides and it upset me.

What is awesome is that the film director pretty much gets all the cameras right, so I barely edit them. I may actually plan a route out for once, rather than just upload recent good driving.

Thanks that helps alot. smile.gif

So changing the colour is kinda like pay'n'spray? I should be used to that by now.. tounge.gif

I like how they've included a whole range of vehicles. From Escalades to Lamborghini to a damn bus! Most driving games are all about the supercars but this just focuses on the pure fun of driving great cars. Film editor looks very impressive.

Just completed the game 100% today, little disappointed you don't get anything for it, but you didn't in GTA IV and CW either, so oh well.

I was surprised by how good this game is (as most people seem to be; it even got a good review of off Yahtzee). I might try pissing around with the Film Director. It's a pity I haven't tried multiplayer yet (I haven't got a Xbox Live Gold account at the moment because I'll be moving to university next week, and I'm unsure whether I'd be able to get it to connect to the network).

Hey guys what is so special about this game? I didn't play it yet but for example Midnight Club Los Angeles neither and I find it more enjoyable from what I have seen on youtube. So?

Well maybe you should play it and see for yourself. Midnight Club LA is one of the most basic street racing games on current consoles. It is fun a a little while but is very repetative. This game isn't like any other driving game.

And Driver was a very successful gaming series in it's time, this new game is the return of the series so many people were hyped up.

Chinatown Wars

Online freeroam with 3 other people= the. f*cking . sh*t.

Screw the story! All last night my friends and I just went about crazy shifting into other cars and chucking em at each other. We all pissed our pants because of how funny it is when one second you and your friend are driving at 100+ mph in a RUF then out of nowhere your friend shifts into a truck and rams you head on

The Film Director's much easier to use than I was expecting.

I don't know why in a game full of Lambos and Mclarens I feel such an attraction to the Ford Taurus.

I still cant figure out what to do. blush.gif

Anyways, I'm just gonna say it here. Driver: SF is the best driving game I've ever played. It's like NFS: Hot Pursuit + Dirt 3 + Midnight Club: LA, which I really like thank you very much. Kudos to Ubisoft for making a great game.

One of my few annoyances (apart from some of the later dares) is that you can't choose the colour of your car in the garages. Seems like such an easy thing to include.

one of the only things I don't like is that once you finish the storyline, the cars on the street don't change so you see the same cars over and over again.

Need help here...

So I uploaded my clip to the Ubisoft driver club thing, but how do you guys get it on youtube? There seems to be no download button at the Ubisoft site, or do I have to link my Youtube account? If so then where is it?

Find your video on the Ubisoft Driver Club site and view it. When you put your mouse over the video, a Download button should appear. Clicking it will give you some weird file (I've heard some people say it's a FLV, but my computer couldn't recognise any filetype). Just upload this file to Youtube like any video file.

This

one of the only things I don't like is that once you finish the storyline, the cars on the street don't change so you see the same cars over and over again.

And this

Bang on with those two things, I also really like the instant car spawn in multiplayer, I wish there was something like that in single, so you could just set a preset for a few fav cars, or on your one chosen, just cycle through till you get the right color. But I defo agree that you should be able to set, either random color or always on a favourite. It is a bitch for replays to get the right thing and if you crash it, then you are f*cked and have to drive all the way back to repair, may as well just pull a new one out.

I want the Camaro SS with the roof up, but in black, and I have only ever found it in white and one other sh*t color. I would love to change the rims as well. At least make those black.

I dunno it could do with alot more customization.

Also I wish I knew some people that had it, I want to play mp free roam too. mad.gif

(But that awful f*cking grainy filter pisses me off, I wish I could turn that off, and turn off the stupid hint icon on screen)

That's odd... I checked my video on the Driver site and the button's gone on that one too. I guess they removed the option to download them. sad.gif

Well that's just a big slap to the face... whatsthat.gif

Ha, I couldnt download them before anyway, it came up with an option to download the HTML file or something, so they either took it down to fix it. Or are bastards.

Either way, I just used the Real Player Plugin, in firefox and just ripped the FLV file when It pops up when watching it.

Simple.

Wow, Got it for PC yesterday and I'm LOVING it! I'm not a fan of the Driver series ever sinse Driv3r and Driver:PL Came out, but man, this is a fun ass game!!!

The graphics are decent and driving just feels so awesome! Voice actors' text is a bit cheesy though. And Tanner's one liners make me feel like I'm watching Spongebob sometimes. But it's a fun game to play. I really don't regret getting it.

Sunrise Driver

Nice game. Driving controls are flawless on keyboard, cockpit view is enjoyable even without a wheel (which is rare). Nominee for GotY for me.

Just finished story and I must say that this has to be one of best driving games ever. I absolutely loved driving and the story, it's one of those games which don't have repetitive missions!
