I used to spend ages trying to do that challenge despite not even knowing what some of the maneuvers meant. Shift might be one of the most innovative gameplay elements I have ever encounteted in a video game. I had great fun with this feature. The plot wasn't very good but at least the dialogue was funny and well written. The story kinda came together in the end of the game though, and things started to make sense. That Tanner was able to imagine everyting because of the news on the television in his room were on during his entire time in the coma was a great idea. That Leila really was a news anchor made sense as well. Btw, does anyone know the song during the final chase between Tanner and Jericho? Single Player Demo comes with 3 Missions: -"Prove It" (Introduction to Shift mechanic/police chase) -"Team Colours" (tag-team race with the 'Rapid Shift' mechanic) -"The Escapist" (Frantic police chase) There's a time limit on all missions, but you usually have enough time to shift into different vehicles and mess around in them. There's a healthy amount of different cars on the road, but not everything you'll see in the full game. Multiplayer Demo comes with 2 game modes: -Tag (Hold onto the tag as long as possible to score points; ram the vehicle with the tag to steal it) -Trailblazer (Stay in the trails of a Golden DeLorean as long as possible to score the most points) Again, plentiful amount of vehicles. But its not as though he wakes up at the end and its all irrelevant and stuff because [MEGA SPOILERS] Everything that is happening in Tanner's dream is really happening on the TV News in the background, and Tanner is just reenacting it all in his head. Pretty cool imo That said, did anyone else feel the ending was a bit premature? I think it was because Tanner catches Jericho but didn't he break out like hundreds of prison psychopaths from prison? and what about the grey haired guy (who I think will be the villain in the next game). Didn't really sort anything out. And how will they bring back shift for the next one? considering Tanner ain't in no coma. He can't get in another coma can he, cause that would be mega lame. A film director mode seems like so much fun. I always try to create epic car chases for GTA 4, seems to me Driver is made for car chases. But will I just go back to GTA after playing it after a while? I don't want that to happen. Also, I'm torn between buying Driver SF or Deus Ex HR. I am not actually sure, I never noticed anything, all I did notice was that it seems to save aprox 4 or 5 minutes of the last bit of gameplay you did, I just condensed it on purpose. It was aprox 2.1MB to upload to the ubi server, so im sure you could probably have 5 mins. Also, I'm torn between buying Driver SF or Deus Ex HR. I would say get Deus Ex, it really is surprising how good it turned out to be. Though this is really good, the problem is you kind of have to put up with the arcadey bullsh*t, slightly annoying story, and spend some time to unlock the map and decent cars. But once you do, its great. I feel the game portrayed in my video makes it look alot better than what it is, I think mostly the mass ammounts of traffic and horrible HUD, as well as annoying music and speech, though those can be turned off. I wish I could turn the HUD off though. I had an awesome time the other day in a Corvette ZR1 cop car, in cockpit view chasing getaway drivers, and it felt so f*cking own, I really got into it and focused and it felt so good seeing other cops speeding the f*ck around me on the highway, real damn cool. I think you have to make it your own, play it in your own personal style, turn stuff off audio, turn up engine sounds and SFX, play your own music and try and get into a nice zen like fashion. (@GTAvanja: I didnt know I would be uploading that, otherwise I would have possibly drove better, and did something more impressive. First time vid. I may do some faster cars next, possibly the Lamborghini Miura on some massive dirt jumps or something. Oh btw, if you wonder why I hit so many boxes and lamp posts and fire hydrants, its because they dont dent your car in this game, therefore I accept them as not collisions. What I have noticed is that the videos once uploaded are significantly darker and less bright as they are in the film director on the console. It may be a quality issue on youtube as the video I downloaded from the ubisoft site itself is great. As long as you view these in full screen and in HD 720p, it looks decent enough. I may do a dirt track + jumps one next, or highway speeding but that is usually pretty boring. Also if I can find one of movie challenges that is decent enough, I may do that. I have never really uploaded much before, only videos from EA Skate, seeing as we actually get the film director built in and allow us to upload, its awesome. It takes like no effort.
