EmPty CaSInGz
I would not fight in any war. Wars are cowardly escapes from the problems of peace. And so, are not worth fighting. You say that, but who protects you from the big, bad Taliban-men? That's right, soldiers. It doesn't matter which country, they protect you so you can be here today. Say that soldiers are cowards to anyone who has served, and they'll likely rip you a new one. Tell the man I know with shrapnel stuck in his face a coward and then see what happens. I'm joining the Army, so go on, call me a coward. But you should be grateful for the men and women who put their lives on the line day in, day out so you can go on living in your dream world where soldiers prance around eating vegetables and quorn, flashing peace signs and smoking spliffs. Personally, I'd fight in World War One with my great-great uncle. Shame he was killed in France, a month before the war ended.
Sanjeem
For me it would be the Second world war, me being the one flying the plane over Hiroshima, that wat even though i am taking part in an evil action but for a good cause, i am just flying the plane, i'm just the pilot. To me, the ends almost always justify the means. When we let the bigger picture get lost in the suffering of the little people, then we as a society start the slow march to self-destruction. Cruel necessity, as Mr. Cromwell would say.

I'm talking from his perspective. He stated he considers it to be an evil act -- one he can not feel guilty about by flying the plane.
EmPty CaSInGz
If you were 17+ and was about in WW1 or 2 then im pretty sure you would have to do national service wether you liked it or not. In WW1 you had 14+yr olds being drafted.

kid23455
World War 2, Japanese side. I'm not Japanese, but the nukes dropped were unbelievably horrific, I would want to try to stop that. I like how we compensate now with "precise" warfare to avoid civilian deaths, but nukes are irreversible.

Mucho respect to the screaming eagles and all the veterans It is funny that your sig says: Do not forget those who give their lives for war. - "All wars are civil wars, because all men are brothers" It is like saying, the fags that took part in a war died in honor and that they deserve our rememberence, but they were fighting their brothers. So killing your borther is good right? Yep, its awesome.
Ari Gold
So, those who fought in preventing most of Europe from becoming a fascist playground for sick Nazis are fags? Not to mention all the others who took arms to liberate their homelands from imperialists, in other conflicts? I'd like to see you say that to my late-grandfather, who even after being shot in the leg, went back onto the battlefield to fight for his country, his ideals and his people. Like, really, I'd love to see you try, you disrespectful c*nt.

So killing your borther is good right? Yep, its awesome. Go die in a fire. Seriously. I'd rather call you a fag post-mortem. Your just one of those dopey little bastards that don't believe in a damn thing. I'll mark apathetic asshat on your tombstone for ya. Wouldn't want you to loose any of your class once you found yourself six foot under. Of course, at least then your decomposing corpse could serve some purpose to the planet. As it stands you're simply breathing air that should belong to men far better then you.

Well, I could not give less sh*t about your grandaddy, and go ahead, write whatever you want on my stone. And please, read my post again. I have, and you make a somewhat good point. But, regardless, I took offence at your snide little nihilistic comment which disrespected all those who gave their lives for their country, their land, their families, their people, so people like you can waste their time writing incomprehensibly unintelligent comments on an internet forum, showing off how you have the sensitivity and emotions of a brick. But, what do you care, you know? I don't even know why I care or why I'm wasting my time even reading the tripe which trickles through your fingertips onto the computer. Edit: To the mod who banned that idiot... thank you.
GerryM
If i could go back to the old wars I'd choose WWII, I would probably be with 82nd or 101st Airborne in the Western front. I'd be jumping in Sicily, Normandy, Eindhoven/Nijmegen/Grave and Germany. It will also be an honor to fight in the Pacific, but not for the Marines, I'd probably be with the 1st Cavalry (McArthur). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Poor Zombie he was just 13 post away for a milestone. Autopilot
Leaving out the Cod wars with the British (Which we won, lol) and the British invasion of Iceland during WW2 (No one resisted it and to be honest nobody wanted to) the only war that has ever been fought in Iceland was a civil war called Sturlungaöld (Age of the Sturlungs). I have no idea whose side I'd fight on though
