yoječ
I would run well, but I wouldn't recommend this PC. 1090T does not perform that well in games (Intel CPUs are better), and PSU is sh*tty. It seems like it is pre-built PC, right? Buy components separately and assemble it by yourself, you'll get much better gaming rig that way. I'm an AMD faithful, and prefer AMD for my builds. My Phenom II X4 hasn't let me down yet. However, I would recommend to overclock it. I still need to get around to that with mine, long overdue. And also, with all of those specs, you should run the game at 60 fps no problem. yoječ
i5-760 should perform better IMHO. You can also try to find Xeon X3440 (which has Hyper Threading), it should be priced similar to 1090T. But I'd suggest waiting till Intel Sandy Bridge processor are widely available on the market. BLKMAG
ok im customizing it now.. i can only afford either the i5-760 or the amd 1090T.. which one ??? Although the i5 760 only has 4 cores, it still performs better than the 1090T in most benchmarks. Since it has a lower amount of cores it's easier to use the CPU to it's full potential also. Being that GTA 4 can only use 3 CPU cores, the i5 will be able to use 75% of it's power, as opposed to the 1090Ts 50%. YankeesPwnMets
I personally would wait for Sandy Bridge, since it is coming out very soon. Just wait for the Socket LGA 1155 and LGA 2011 second gen i5 and i7 CPUs. From what I heard, the Core i5 2500K and Core i7 2600K for the LGA 1155 socket will be out sometime this month, and ASUS already has their P67 motherboards out http://usa.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=Fpuf...vccl&templete=2 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/466778-thinking-of-buying-this-pc-how-would-it-run-gta-iv/#findComment-1060280281 Share on other sites

The 2600(k) comes out on the 9th I believe? It's priced around the same as the current i7 950 yet is 30-40% faster in some benchmarks. Stinky12
The Core i7 2600K wins most of the benchmarks against the Core i7 980x. And Core i7 980x is a 6 core costing at $999 while the 2600K is around $317 or so. link Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/466778-thinking-of-buying-this-pc-how-would-it-run-gta-iv/#findComment-1060280363 Share on other sites
unc13bud
if people are near a microcenter, they can get an even better price on those processors (2500k/2600k).
