danjodan
So I just bought crysis on steam and I am getting horrible performance.I run it at "High" settings at 1280 by 1024 with no AA.I get 15-20 fps,I should be getting a bit more. My PC is: ATI HD 4770 512MB AMD Athlon 2 x3 425 processor 2.70GHz 4GB ram Windows Vista SP2 32bit Please dont suggest an upgrade because I am not upgrading for a while. I am getting good performance in other games at high settings such as:Mafia 2,COD MW2,ect. EDIT:Just realised that this was originally meant to be in tech chat, please move. OverTheBelow
Not on high settings mate, you don't know that this game still not maxable at 60fps with a single card? Anyway, stick to medium settings, it's a very good balance between eyecandy and FPS. Or you can type into the console "r_SSAO 0" to turn off that huge gpu hog ambient occlusion on high settings. But the game looks ugly on medium.I probably should be able to play on high Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/466507-crysis-warhead-bad-performance/#findComment-1060274098 Share on other sites

HD 4770 is a PCI-E card. @OP: Medium doesn't look bad at all, certianly not any worse than for example call of duty 7; you're just being too picky. You seem to forget that this game is renowned for being the mortal enemy of even highend graphics cards. OverTheBelow
In that context I mean it doesn't come with the motherboard.. it's a separate component that is plugged in to a PCI-E slot on the mobo. Not onboard. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/466507-crysis-warhead-bad-performance/#findComment-1060274129 Share on other sites
