Wel since i got gta SA for the ps2 back in 2005 ive been playing it and playing it (finished the game like 10 time,s now whatso ever )...But i dident care anymore bout the game cuz i got bored off it... always the old stuff over again,...tough ive known about the pc mods years ago but realy got intrests since friday into this modding thing and i actually wanted to try it 2 (i got gta sa for computer 2 recently). Now i can mod exsisting clothes in Gta sa with TDX workshop, but i wanna make my own clothes and use it in gta.....later on i also wanna remake rappers and stuff for gta. but the problem is i got TDX workshop 3dsmax and photoshop but im totally lost, i cant find 1 thing at the moment that be the little lightspot in the darkness.....tough i do have some knowledge about drawing software,s (auto cad) but that's it. None the less i'd like to start from the start and do everything step by step so i can be able to make my own clothes and use em In game and later on my own characters (all content will be uploaded on the forums dont doubt it. coin-god Posted January 1, 2011 Share Posted January 1, 2011 Im working on a complete start to finish Character Modeling tutorial. But its gonna take a while. If you just want to edit Textures first, just use TXD Workshop, get the files from the clothes you want (inside Player.img) and extract the textures from TXD. And edit them with Paint, Pothoshop or whatever. For creating custom Meshes (3D Stuff) you will need KAM Scripts for 3D MAX (google them) and then a few months to get used to the program, and start looking for tutorials on how to create Characters. 3D Modeling miight look hard at first but once you get to it you will make anything you want, wich is awesome. Thanks for the fast reply man. yeah modding exsisting texture,s isn't a problem with TDX workshop. Just making my own clothes and characters is f*ckin hard >.O....i'm sittin herre almost 8 hours straight without progress. btw i've already installed that KAM scipts pack...and messed up Cj in 3 ds max . Tough im curious bout the tutorial.... i'll deff check it cuz tutorials on youtube suck =/,most likely they explain everything half assed or not properly. It dosn't work for players like CJ. Only pedestrians. If you download a model from the internet and want it in SA, follow that tuto. If you want to edit the pedestrians from GTA without having to Rig them again. You can do it by going to its "Editable Mesh" tab in the Modifiers Panel from the Right. Hit Yes to the dialog box and use the Edit tools to change the Mesh. This is good when making small changes. You then follow the last part of that tuto to Export it. So as im customizing texture,s only now ( backedup all original file,s in another folder) Ive realised that DIFF file,s tend to be the model (structure or form) and TDX the skin ? (what covers the structure of form)yes?. Also got the KAM tools for 3ds max studio and i saw DIFF i/o COLLI i/o and Map i/o What do they do in 3DS max ? I'm starting to digg how to be replacing texture,s already but only modeling is a problem now and i realy wanna know how to make clothes so i can import em into the game aswel as characters for cj as peds and all that stuff xD (cant wait).
