junkpile
A certain degree of realism is a must, but considering clothes, it shouldn't take forever to switch between a binco and a modo outfit. In my opinion, GTA 4 took a step backwards from SA...correct me if I'm wrong but couldn't we change clothes faster in SA? And weren't the clothes divided in shop-categories you bought them from? Anyways: I didn't miss clothing shops in GTA 4 really, maybe a pro laps would been cool, the three shops in GTA 4 already had a decent offer. But the wardrobe was kind of strange and bugged. examples: 1. Claude's clothes were only available in PBX's safehouse, but if you were dressed in them and change your clothes f.e. in the Alderney safehouse, Claude's clothes are back in PBX's safehouse, even if you just wore them. 2. One time (Liberty City Minute) I only bought a suit for the story, but: You couldn't change the trousers to his track pants...like they were gone, but you do actually own them. 3. sh*tty clothes like the albanian jacket and the Happiness Island pullover are just stuck in there. The first one always crosses my sight and I don't like it too much. You should be able to throw away certain clothes except your default outfit. 4. But my main problem is that it takes too much time to switch clothes. I already don't buy anything really but you get certain suits throughout the story (Claude, LSD, Scrubs, Albanian jacket, a suit,...) and have to go through all of them. So: Hopefully you'll be able to just select the sh*t you wanna wear. clothes maybe divided in categories again. And it shouldn't take too much time to change your clothes. And like in RDR or SA mabye more complete outfits, I like them combinations. cosidering shops: I'm alright with the BINCO - MODO - PERSEUS order in GTA 5 maybe: BINCO - ZIP/PRO LAPS - DIDIER SACHS Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/466365-clothes-in-gta-5/ Share on other sites

Narcis_speed6
But my main problem is that it takes too much time to switch clothes. For me doesn't take much, like 2 seconds at normal clothes and 4 from switching to suits. But still, if you decide to buy ALL clothes from every shop....it will take a long time to change. It should just be faster. cp1dell
In my opinion, clothing is too much trouble. The character is built in his clothes he starts out with, the other ones too that are for certain missions aswell. That Niko you see with the jacket, track pants and boots, that is the real Niko. It would be nice if it was like Vice City where everything was just single outfits. But whatever, you don't have to buy the clothes, except for certain missions. The load time might be faster, cause that certainly is not the case on console versions. I have all the clothes, and to scroll from the first article of clothing to the last only on the tops section takes at least a full minute, making the clothing system effectively worse than the one in SA. Because even though it took like 4-5 seconds to load the new piece of clothing at least it let you choose faster through a list. Finn 7 five 11
They need to make clothes changing pretty instant, and really smooth. I said this in the luxurious clothes thread, but i think would work quite well is that not every jacket/shirt whatever is already preset. What i mean is if you are wearing an orange shirt then put on a say red jacket, you can still see the orange shirt underneath, it doesn't automatically switch it to a white shirt. junkpile
Wow, thanks for totally ripping off my thread Junkpile oh yeah? get over it. here are at least 100 threads about the same sh*t. plus, I haven't seen it and when I just did, I found out you talk about "luxurious clothes in general". I'm not, I'm talking about the clothes in general but foremost the WARDROBE system. It would be nice if it was like Vice City where everything was just single outfits. I agree. Nowadays, for doing the dirty work, I even run around in these LSD clothes. I have all the clothes, and to scroll from the first article of clothing to the last only on the tops section takes at least a full minute, making the clothing system effectively worse than the one in SA. mos def. this is what shall be improved. The only dissapointment of TBOGT clothes were that you cant buy any. As for TLAD, f*ck it the Lost Jacket is awesome. Yes I do agree a new wardrobe system should be done. The clothes are always the same skin but just in a different colour so maybe they could adopt the wardrobe system from Mafia 2. Or hell if necklaces and watches make a return adopt the Mass Effect 2 armor locker system, it will make changing clothes faster. Im not sayn' that the clothes were bad (I thought they were pretty cool). Im just complaining about the lack of customization. except for the suits in tbogt, the rest of your wardrobe is just tops. it would have been nice to wear a different pair of pants or SHOES. you see right next to his cabin, luis has like 10 boxes of shoes that he never wears. smh Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/466365-clothes-in-gta-5/#findComment-1060274598 Share on other sites
DoubleOGJohnson
The clothing in GTA 4 was pathetic for Niko. Rockstar wasted Columbus Ave, which is supposed to be a replica of New York's Fifth Ave. New York's Fifth Ave is their biggest shopping district. Columbus Ave was filled with inaccessible stores. What's f*cked up is that Liberty City actually has a TON of clothing stores but the fact you couldnt shop in them made them pointless. Only peds can look good, but Niko cant. Columbus Ave had Enema Los Santos, Miss T’s, Ranch, Gaulle, Canyon, Brawls, De Koch, and Didier Sachs. You couldnt go in none of these stores. Let's not even talk about all the clothing stores in the rest of Midtown Algonquin. I actually feel like Rodeo, Los Santos is better than the entire city of Liberty City as far as accessible clothing to the player. Rodeo had everything. Pro Laps, Eris, Mint, Vulgari, Kevin Clone, Tableau, Crowex, Gnocchi, Ranch, Victim, Didier Sachs, Cogs etc. The entire Westside of Los Santos had more substance than the island of Algonquin. Shopping in Los Santos was an experience. I still remember how I fun it was to ride through Rodeo in my fancy all black Sentinel and fire red Grotti Cheetah, drop off at the store and splurge. I used to walk around with $10,000 worth of jewelry on me at a time. I had the gold Crowex, the chain, straight outta Didier Sachs. And I was so fly with my Eris shirt and "Dude" Sports Jacket and green sneakers. And yet when I think about GTA IV, I have no comparable memories to Rodeo which is sad. junkpile
@ double og: sure, I get your point. In GTA 4, clothes got reduced to some essentials. ar first I was like WTF? But nowadays I'm okay with everything. GTA 4 surely got something for everyone.
