Launch Boat

All boats are available, except the Marine Patrol Boat (in the Vertical Bird mission). But there is no place to save them.

Map Thanks to: Jennifer “tia” Lynn (gamerlady)—Note: Some Vehicles may be Mission sensitive: Vehicles Map

The "Marine Patrol Boat" is call a Launch. There is a spawn point inside the southern most bay of the bunker in the San Fierro Navy Base. It can be a bit fickle about spawning, especially on the PS2. The gun turret is not operational.

The SAM Java Map is a very useful tool for finding vehicles or other items and locations in San Andreas. It has a filter tool that allows you to search for specific items.

Note that some of the vehicles listed only appear on the PS2 version of the game, the Vortex off the Panopticon should spawn near the Skimmer at the far north end of the reservoir, and there are no cocktails at Blueberry Farms. Other than that the map is extremely accurate.

Well... Java is required, obviously. I don't have any problem with it running on Firefox, but perhaps Chrome or Internet Explorer will work better for you.

You need the Java Runtime Environment plugin. I was able to download and install the plugin successfully on Firefox. What error do you get?

I think that's a Firefox issue with the map, because the Java map works on IE 8, but it doesn't on Firefox(I have the latest version of Firefox, as it just installed the update the other day).? What Firefox version are you guys using? I'll check it on my Firefox on my 7 laptop in a little bit and see if it works on that-but is doesn't on Firefox w/Vista Home Premium.

I have Firefox 3.6.12 (OS: Vista Ultimate) and it works perfectly on it. It works on Chrome too. This cannot be a browser related issue. He just needs to download and install the latest JRE plugin; that's all.

I once put a Launch in the Verdant Meadows hangar. It was not a good idea, - it got miserably stuck in the floor.

But boats can be stored in garages, the Dinghy works well. I like to put one on the Mulholland garage roof, just for a laugh.

Beware that boats can't be pushed unless the engine is turned on (with engine off they're "anchored")

I believe there is a mod which makes the boat garage at Toreno's Ranch work as a garage.

And ChainGame had a boat save too.

That is a Chain Game specific feature-it is not in the Original game. The Chain Game is a specific modded save that was originally made by Pdescobar and Orion, and remade in round 37 by Rubregg to include the latest features. I'm not sure if Orion has made any changes to the save since Round 37 or not...

Plus, those kinds of mods do not work on V2 and V3(the Steam/D2D versions of the game. Just a heads up...

What? The Chain Game saves work just fine on v2, and should work on v3 as well.

A boat garage can be created with an IPL mod, which should work on v2; not so sure about v3.

I was unable to find any boat garage mods other than the custom Chain Game saves. Does one really exist?

I wasn't talking about the Chain Game saves in the V2/V3 sentence, I was talking about mods in general-ie. .img editing, etc. How V2 is limited on modding ability, and how V3 is unmoddable.

Yes, .ipl mods do work great on V2, as I have your optional .ipl mod for the extra Chain Game Armory objects on my Vista desktop, which is V2. And that's why I mentioned it. cause the Chain Game saves are the Only known games I know of that has the boat garage. So, to my knowledge, you(Orion) and Rubregg are the only ones that have come up with a boat garage. Just a heads up. smile.gif

I thought the Steam version(V3) didn't like to work with the saves from the Retail(DVD) version? And to what I have read, the Steam(V3) version is unmoddable and un-downgradeable?
