GTA IV crashes PC

Hello, Everytime i install GTAIV on my computer, it makes it blackout, meaning it crashes my PC very often it just closes down unexpectedly, and i dont know what to do.. Someone help please, this is not a illegal copy or any of that kind. This has been bought from amazon, i got it last year.. I thought it was about time to post this, hope someone helps

 

Specs:

Intel Pentium 4 3.0 GHz

NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT 512MB

1.5GB Ram

 

Other Stuff:

DirectX 10

Driver: Latest NVIDIA

Hi , When you say my computer shuts down does it give you an error message on your screen , for instance ''Power Saving Mode''? or any other error message of any kind?

Nope, it just mainly turns the computer off, it dosent give no messages or anything, it just automaticly shuts the Whole computer down.

The main thing is, your processor does not meet the minimum specs-you have a single core processor, and IV needs at least a Core 2 Duo OR AMD Athlon dual core to run. If you had read the Pinned Requirements/can I run it... topic you would have found that out yourself before you tried to install the game. That is why it is a Pinned topic, to try and cut down on "Can I run it" and "why is this not working..." threads... Also, your RAM is too low for the game, I mean the OS itself uses around 900mb to 1.2GB for Vista and 7 and around 500mb to 1GB for XP, so at 1.5GB, that does not leave much left over for applications and games.

 

I still don't get why people still try to run a game designed for Dual Core processors on a Single core processor.? Just curious.
