I'm leaving Papi where he is at the moment, after the paranoia, neither of them will contact each other for a while, until chapter 3, and Papi will owe Alex a favour after that, so Papi will help in the last mission.

Claude4Catalina

cheers mate, all I'm saying is 4-nil wink.gif aha

seriously people, the amount of positive feedback has given me the motivation to carry on writing at one point I was thinking about giving up on this!

the final mission in chapter 2 is looking pretty big, one page on MS Word just for the intro and first step dialogue (drive here), should be a good one!

cheeky sod! tounge.gif let me have my moment of glory, its about our only win this season! lol

Rique-Slow Ride

Alex knocks on Rique’s door, who, evidently has healed up well, and is surrounded by partygoers.

“Alex! How’s it going man? Fancy a line? Special K? MDM…D…X…f*ck, I dunno what I’m saying!” Rique is all sorts of f*cked up, but Alex turns down the less than savoury offers and settles for a quick beer.

“So, what we doing?”

“Down to business…I like it! Well, I need to collect the money from my dealers on the street, one of them ain’t paying up, something to do with getting threatened, we’ll sort him out last.” Rique says, turning to the crowd. “People! Your master will return!” Rique stumbled out the door. “We’ll take my car!”

You’ll be instructed to get into Rique’s white Infernus and visit the dealers. The first one will be just up the road, on the corner of Condy Avenue and Boone Street.

Rique: *whistle* dickhead…where’s my money?

Dealer: Sorry Mr Garcia, here, take it!

Rique: I expect more from you next time.

The next dealer will be in the parking lot of the carwash on Tutelo Avenue.

Rique: Man, this f*cking coke…it’s a rush…its euphoric…I love it.

Alex: I know some people who got so f*cked out of they head, they died, you don’t want that bro, trust me.

Rique: And this X! I mean, it’s like doing rail after rail…I love you Alex.

Alex: Easy homie, just relax ‘til we get your dealer, ok?

Rique: Alphonse…its three days late!

Dealer: I didn’t know you were back in town, honest! I would have dropped it off but I…

Rique: Its late again, I f*cking send Alex here to kill your puta ass!

The last dealer will be in the yard just off Wenrohronon Avenue.

Rique: Time to deal with this worthless f*ck…he’s lucky I’m so f*cked up I can’t do a f*cking thing.

Alex: Could you fit ‘f*ck’ in many more places?

Rique: f*ck you.

Alex: Point proven.

Pull into the yard to trigger a cutscene. Four Yardie dealers run up the stairs right ahead of you, and Rique’s dealer will be lying dead on the concrete. Rique will approach his deceased associate.

Rique: Jerome! Who did this to you?!

Alex: He’s dead bro.

Rique: Jerome! Jerome!

Alex: It’s too late.

Rique: Let’s get those bastards.

You now have to go to the Yardie hangout, the lot out the back of Burger Shot on Pancho Street.

Rique: You killed Jerome, you f*cks!

Yardie 1: Whose thing raasclart?

Yardie 2: Him think himself a badman?

Rique shoots one Yardie, you now have to kill the remaining three, and get back to Rique’s place.

Rique: f*cking adrenaline! I can feel it flowing through me!

Alex: Sure it ain’t the cocktail of various drugs?

Rique: Probably, but damn, that was good! I can’t believe Jerome…he was an amazing person, I’ll kill all them motherf*ckers!

Alex: Yo, don’t be getting shook over his death, he’s in the game, he knows the rules.

Rique: You’re right, thanks for today, I’ll call ya if I need anything.

Soon enough, you drop Rique off, leaving him to stumble to his apartment.

I'm starting to feel like my writing is going downhill to be honest, so when I've completed the storyline, I'm going to take a bit of time to go through each mission and tweak them a little bit.

Tyler-The Crack Spot

“Tyler!” Alex shouts from outside the apartment. “Open up!”

“Sorry homie…what’s good?” A tired Tyler greets, still in a t shirt and underwear.

“Man, put some clothes on!” Alex laughs, taking a seat.

“I will…me and Abbie had another argument.”

“Damn son, gotta be the sixth time this month.”

“Yeah, f*cking slut. Probably with some other man right now.”

“Hey yo, don’t talk like that man.”

“Eh, I’ll live. Drink?”

Alex gets up and takes the glass of whiskey, and sits back down.

“Got anything that needs doing?” Alex asks, as Tyler emerges from his bedroom fully clothed.

“I know of a spot, they sell to any motherf*cker looking to buy, see if we could get some weight off this, thought we could use something like this. One of the houses on Xenotime, was gonna dip through and visit it.” Tyler explains.

“I’ll go scope it out, stay on hold in case I need some back up?”

“Yeah bro, I’ll be sitting tight.”

When you regain control, head over to the crack den on Xenotime Street. When you arrive, Alex knocks on the door and a small hatch opens.

“$100 admission fee.” A mysterious voices demands, as Alex slips a few bills through the hatch. The door enters. “Looking to buy?” A burly guard asks, 9mm drawn.

“Yeah homie.”

“Follow me.”

The first door slams shut, and a second security door opens when the guard keys in the code. Alex is lead to a plush looking living room, where three men are watching the TV.

“What can I do you for?” Asks the leader.

“Brown. I need serious amounts, no bullsh*t…you alright bro?” Alex replies, eyeing up a nervous dealer, who keeps flinching and looking out the windows.

“Yeah bro, I’m fine homie!” Came an unconvincing reply.

“Like I was saying. Series amounts, I’ve got the cash, just need a supply line.”

“We can organzise some…what the f*ck!” The leader exclaims as a Molotov Cocktail crashes through the window, the nervous dealer fleeing for his life as the crack den comes under heavy fire from outside. “You f*cking rat, you were followed!” The leader shouts, withdrawing a Stubby Shotgun.

“f*ck you homie!” Alex replies, shooting the leader, then firing on the other two guards.

You now need to escape the crack den through the back, as gangsta’s are filtering through the front. You will be met by three more thugs as you escape, and when you exit the building, two gang members fire on you, but they are easily dispatched. When you are at a safe distance, you automatically call Tyler.

Alex: It was a f*cking ambush homie, some stick up guys thought it’d be a good idea to raid the place, I got out fine, the rest of them weren’t so lucky, minus one bastard!

Tyler: I think I might know who you mean. Come see me, we’ll get this sorted. f*cking pricks.

not that I'm trying to fish for compliments, but whats the opinion on the weapon icons? specifically the .45, Heavy MG, Incendiary Grenade, and Stubby Shotgun? I built them from existing IV Icons, I know they aren't up to EduardKoeleJuck quality of work, but are there any critisms with them?

They're great, mate. Really good. Especially the Stubby.

Claude4Catalina

cheers fella, admitedly I need to put the ammo box on the other side of the Heavy MG, but thats an easy 5 minute job, and I'm thinking of doing what TLAD with the Combat Shotgun, but only with the Pump Action and Sawn Off Shotguns, remodel the PA to resemble a Mossberg 500 Cruiser with heatshield, and the SO to a sawn off version of the IV Combat Shotgun, the take the automatic 9mm and make it a Glock 17C/18 but increase magazine capacity.

Sounds pretty good. This topic deserves more views. Maybe its because of the name.

Claude4Catalina

I'm inclined to agree with you on the name thing Mati, but I think I've become too attached to the name now, I want to kick myself for using it, but at the same time I'm not too keen on renaming the topic.

updated the main post with new weapon icons and updated the Heavy MG.

you bastard for bringing that up... tounge.gif

gonna post another mission before I *attempt* some sleep, so enjoy...

Tyler-Finishing Up

Following the previous mission, Tyler will have manned up and is ready to kill.

“I know who it is. Tyrell Andrews. Member of Clarence Little’s crew, he managed to get himself a spot in the MOB’s Elite Brotha’s by buying a hell of a lot of drugs from them, nd whoring himself out as a middle man, which explains the attack.” Tyler explains.

“Short sighted gangbangers.”

“Exactly. He hangs at some seedy little whorehouse on Wardite, the security is f*cking nothing in there, maybe one or two guards but they’ll let anyone in. We rolling?”

“Drop me over there man, I’ll get in and take Tyrell out, you gonna be ready to get me the hell out of there?”

“As always homie, let’s do this!”

You’ll be outside in Alex’s black Faction, with a waypoint marked for the whorehouse.

Alex: I’m gonna brutalize this f*cker…it’s almost like he had it planned for my arrival!

Tyler: f*cking ironic ain’t it? He won’t be breathing much longer.

Alex: I know man, worthless hood rat.

You arrive at the whorehouse, where a long thug will be standing guard, not looking too threatening.

Tyler: I’ll be waiting round the corner, give me a call when you need me.

Alex: Alright homie, I won’t be moment.

Guard: You looking to get lucky bro?

Approach the door to trigger the following cutscene.

“Hey bro, finest bitches up in here!” The guard poorly advertises the services.

“I’m sold.” Alex smirks, entering the apartment building.

The rat is on the top floor. Don’t draw any weapons or your cover will be blown.

After climbing several flights of stairs and passing a few ‘loose women’, you’ll reach the top floor see another cutscene.

“Private party up here dawg. BIG himself couldn’t get in if he could, know what I mean?” The guard jokes, stepping forward. Alex draws his .45 and a few notes.

“Step away or it could get messy.” The guard takes the money and goes up to the roof for a smoke. Alex sets himself up and when you press ‘aim’ near the door, you get put into a unique breaching sequence. Alex kicks the door open and fires his .45, killing the first guard with 3 shots, turning to the second guard who has taken a human shield in the form of a whore, and makes a clean headshot. Tyrell pops up with a Micro SMG, but Alex fires three shots into him, dropping him to the floor. Alex approaches Tyrell, who is leaning against the bed, bleeding from his stomach.

“What’s your f*cking problem?” Alex asks, holding his .45 to Tyrell’s head.

“It was nothing personal yo! I got told when the ambush was, it just happened that you were there!” Tyrell’s reply was sporadic as he winced in pain.

“Just as me putting a bullet in your bitch-ass head is just gonna happen?” Alex retorts, ending Tyrell’s pathetic life.

“It’s done, he won’t f*ck anyone anymore.” Alex coldly reports as he gets into the Faction.

“Good bro, I’ll get us back to my place.” Tyler replies, driving the two of you back to his.

Nefarious Money Man

I wonder, are you going to include Clarence Little in this story?.. or does it begin after Holland Nights??

Claude4Catalina

seeing as Clarence's fate is a bit ambigious, I'm gonna keep him as a mentioned character, and once I've for the whole storyline written up, I'll give the characters section a damn good overhaul, including mentioned and minor characters.

Rique-Transporting the Transporter

Alex returns to Rique’s apartment and eyes up the gorgeous ruby coloured Super Diamond sitting in front of the building. Alex walks up to the door and knocks.

“What’s up Rique?” Alex greets.

“Hey bro, I’m kinda busy right now…”

“Is that your new ride out side?” Alex asks, ignoring Rique’s last statement.

“Rique, I know I’m Russian but close the f*cking door, you’ll catch your death!” A broad Russian accented voice shouted from the living room. “Let him in!”

Alex enters the apartment and is greeted by a man who suits the voice. His broad shoulders, heavy accent and reeked of Russian.

“How’s it going man?” Alex asks.

“Very good comrade! And you?”

“I’m good bro, My names Alex Jackson.” Alex offers a handshake.

“Andriy Maximov.” Andriy reciprocates the shake with a firm grip. “I hear good things about you and those Rum drinking fools, apparently you can handle a gun.”

“I grew up in Northwood bro, the second we pop out we get handed a piece and a blunt.”

“A man of metaphors, I like it. In The Motherland, we keep ours guns on one side, ours drugs to the other. Anyway, I need a man who can shoot and drive, seeing as Rique is being ignorant…”

“Not ignorant, I just don’t think you should deal with these people.” Rique pipes up.

“It’s easier to cut my import with this scum then it is washing powder. And should they try anything, I have bullets with their names on them!” Andriy is your typical, run-of-the-mill Russian, not afraid of anything and isn’t afraid to show it.

“Where we heading?”

“It’s literally just around the corner, but we will travel in style!” Andriy replies to Alex’s question as they leave the apartment.

You will be instructed to take a left onto Sundance Street and then pull into the marker on Erie Street.

“Here we are comrade!” Andriy confirms. “Follow me.”

“Right outside the LCPD Station?” Alex queries.

“It’s ok, these gentlemen are legit, we literally need to pick the van up and get it back to my lock up when I hand over the cash. It’s easy like Apple Pie, yes?” Andriy replies, leading the way to the meeting point.

“If you say so.”

“Marco, how’re things going?” Andriy warm-heartedly greets the dealer.

“Maximov.” The dealer replies coldly.

“Why the long face?”

“Handing over this much product for such little profit seems wrong.”

“Your mentality on business seems wrong young man, we agreed a price…”

“Add ten percent.”

“Screw you.” Andriy replies, angrily firing his Combat Pistol at the nearby fuel container, killing a few of the dealers henchmen. Andriy fires his handgun in the back of the dealer, and you are thrown into combat.

You will be in cover behind some brick walls with three enemies in front of you, and the objective is to cover Andriy. Once they are dispatched, you and Andriy head to his car, only to find the wheels are now on bricks and the windows smashed in.

“f*ck it, I will drive, I’m hoping you can still shoot!” Andriy exclaims as they enter the nearby Tampa.

“Yeah, just get us out of here bro!” Alex replies.

You’ll know be in the rear bench seat of the Tampa with the ability to fire your .45 SMG through the window at the pursuing police. Andriy screams up Montauk Avenue and handbrake turns around when sees the police roadblock at the end of the Avenue, giving you a chance to mow down all the cops as Andriy turns around.

Andriy: Back the way we came!

Alex: Just get us out of here, we going back to your place?

Andriy: Yes, and do not worry about my car, I have plenty more!

Andriy jumps through the Plaza and carries on down Montauk, cutting through the gas station. At the gas station, the cutscene slows down as Alex empties a magazine into the pumps, eliminating whoever was following them.

Andriy: Nice work my friend! We are home clear! You drive now, Andriy is going to have heart attack from all the action!

You’ll know be in control of the Tampa and be instructed to drive to Beachgate.

Alex: We going home now bro?

Andriy: Yes please, we are going to Shinnecock Avenue, the big house at the end.

Alex: Damn, swanky place!

Andriy: I know, a friend of mine gave the place to me, Dimitri Rascalov?

Alex: Never heard of him, us Northwood boys don’t hear much from this end of Liberty.

Andriy: Ah, well I import coke for him and Sir Giovanna Ancelotti.

Alex: Heard of Old Man Ancelotti, Mafia cat?

Andriy: Indeed he is, that was a Pavano sponsored dealer we just killed, Beniamino didn’t like him anyway…

Alex: Beniamino?

Andriy: Beniamino Marcello, or Big Ben, he’s one Ancelotti’s men who handles the drugs.

Alex: Like the middle man?

Andriy: Yes, you are learning!

Alex: I’ve been slanging on the corner for years, just never gone big time.

Andriy: I’ll take you big time my friend.

The cutscene starts when you pull into Andriy’s driveway of the new house.

“I’m gonna go check out the house and call Rique, tell him how things went.” Andriy steps out of the Tampa.

“A’ight bro, I’ll see you around.”

“Thank you Alex, you may be of use to me, I do not know yet.” Andriy says, walking into the new house.

things are starting to amp up a little bit, for here on in, its mostly shootouts, car chases and helicopters, the Nor'wood scene will feel a bit neglected, but Tyler, Jamie and Papi haven't been completley left out!

Claude4Catalina

updated the main post, removed the Carbine Rifle with Grenade Launcher, seemed a bit gimmick-y to be honest.

next mission is first in Gerald's strand its fairly simple, a drive here and do this, do that, drive back, I changed it mainly because Gerald would want an outsider on something small, and because it was too similar to one of MOB's missions.

Gerald-Modern Day Criminals

Alex nervously steps into the Steinway Beer Garden and see’s Gerald shaking hands with a tall, slimy, Mafia-looking gentleman.

“My f*ckwit brother should be on it right now, with some immigrant friend of his, I don’t trust the guy personally.” Gerald tells the tall man.

“Well, I’ll go wait near the drop off, it can’t be too hard.”

“I’ll catch you around Ray.” Gerald replies as the man leaves, then turns his attention to Alex. “Hey kid, take a seat. Mickey, get this kid a beer. How’s things?”

“Not bad, I heard you needed some help?” Alex says, sipping his beer.

“I could do with hitting a few cased stores and picking up protection money first, but why should I if I can get you to do?”

“I love the motivation.” Alex sarcastically replies.

“I’m setting you up with a few jobs ain’t I? And besides, I’d rather trust you with something simple. Paddy!” Gerald shouts to an associate who is the same man who picked up the car back in Express Delivery. “Alex needs someone to hold his hand on his first job, go with him and point out the stores we we’re going to rob.”

“I don’t even know where I was going to rob?” Alex stands up, questioning Gerald’s orders.

“Just f*cking do it, I can’t afford to get caught.” Gerald replies dismissively as Paddy leads you out to a red Sabre parked outside.

Paddy: First cased shop is the laundrette up on the top road, wait out the back for me.

Alex: Simple enough.

Drive up to Harrison Street and drop Paddy outside, then drive around the back. Alarms will sound and gunshots heard as Paddy busts out the back, jumping over the wall and getting in the passenger seat.

“Drive!” He hollers, clutching his 9mm and a bag of cash.

You’ll now have a two star wanted level which can quickly be outran if you are fast enough.

Once you lose your wanted level, a marker will be set for Yorktown Avenue along the row of stores.

Paddy: We’re going to collect the protection money from the four shops we’ve got along Yorktown, probably need you to come with me on this one.

Alex: Ok bro, what’s up with the name?

Paddy: Paddy? It’s my Irish heritage!

Alex: Then what’s up with the voice?

Paddy: It’s the years of living in Liberty, in fact like most Irishmen, I’ve never been to the home country!

Alex: You planning on it?

Paddy: Gerry’s older brother is back from the old country, and his younger brother is thinking about going there, never crossed my mind really. Don’t worry about Gerry being a c*nt, he’s like that to newcomers, I mean he employed Gordon, so he’ll employ you!

Alex: Ha, thanks I guess.

Pull into the alley and the two of you get out of the Sabre, and Paddy leads you to the first shop, a nutrition store.

“Got that money Steve?” Paddy asks the hippy-looking man behind the counter.

“Right here, some Rasta has been coming in here asking for hemp every day of the damn week!”

“Tell him the McCreary’s run this part of town.” Paddy replies, heading for the door.

“Pretty easy.” Alex commented as they stand outside Scotts Pet Store next door.

“If they behave that is…you’re up, I’ll wait out here.”

Enter the pet store and walk up to the counter, things go smoothly this time.

Alex: I’m collecting for Gerald McCreary, and it’s time to pay up.

Scott: Ok sir, have a nice day!

Walk outside and Paddy will take the wad of cash from you, motioning to the clothes stores next door.

“I’ll take Jim’s, you take Jr. Ray’s, meet me outside in 5.” Paddy orders as he enters the clothes store.

Follow suit and enter Jr. Ray’s and walk up to the clerk.

Clerk: Can I help you sir?

Alex: It’s payment time, Gerald McCreary says so.

Clerk: I’ll get my manager…

Draw your pistol and aim it at the clerk and they will empty the register on the counter as you scoop it up. You leave the store and join Paddy outside in the Sabre.

Get in and a marker will be placed on Oneida Avenue at the Laundrette.

Paddy: You score?

Alex: Pretty big haul man, where next?

Paddy: Another laundrette in Broker, the Gambetti’s run a chain of them, Gerald wants them hit.

Alex: I swear the Mafia got a finger in every f*cking pie again, and they say organized crime is declining?

Paddy: Families like us, the Koreans and the Albo’s are pretty much the Mob’s bitches, doing what we can to get by.

Alex: Damn, weren’t you boys once on top?

Paddy: At one point, yeah, but f*ck knows what happens!

When you arrive, pull into the marker and you will need to park around the back.

Paddy: Drop her around the back, you’re coming in with me.

When you park up, Paddy goes into the trunk and pulls out a Pump Action Shotgun, leading the way around to the front of the Laundrette.

“This is a raid you bitch, give me the cash!” Paddy demands, pumping his shotgun, aiming it at the assistant.

“You ain’t gonna get away with this!” Says the guard as he reveals himself from behind the partition, holding his 9mm on Alex.

Alex dips low and dives out of the way as Paddy blasts the guard. The assistant takes a Sawn Off Shotgun from below the counter but Alex fires three rounds from his .45, downing the assistant.

“f*ck me, I’ll grab the cash, get outside and start the car!” Paddy exclaims as he empties the register into his bag.

Alex runs outside, skids over the hood of the Sabre and starts the engine, Paddy following shortly.

“Get out of here!”

You’ll now have a two star wanted level again and need to lose it before you return to Gerald’s with Paddy and the money. Once you lose the heat, the following conversation plays.

Paddy: Nice work today Al, I’d say you’ve got a good chance of getting in with us.

Alex: Damn, you think?

Paddy: Yeah, welcome aboard the sinking ship!

Alex: Better to be a king for a day then a nobody forever.

Paddy: We’ll see, I hope we can turn this sh*t around.

Alex: If it means I get a decent source of income, so do I!

Pull into the marker near Steinway Beer Garden and Gerald will take the cash from you and invite you to come back.

“Very nice, come back and see me when you need work. Here’s your cut.”

You really capture Gerald in your cutscenes...everything he says in the script sounds like something he would actually say in GTA IV. The mission itself was pretty cool too, but it reminds me a lot of a mission that was in Code Of The Streets icon14.gif

Yeah.. it seems unintentional but it is basically the same mission. I'm not too concerned though.. the original is always the original at the end of the day. Each topic is unique and appealing in it's own way and let's face it.. very few ideas these days are truely original anyway.

I think I PM'd you about it MOB, but GTAForums has been playing up for me recently so God knows if you got it confused.gif

but I'm cool with changing what the mission entails, its nothing more then a simple 'prove you can shoot straight and drive' mission, I don't mind replacing it turn.gif
