Can't have the working script with that method even if it might work because of no possiblities to make character models and animations for cutscenes.

not right gtarandom, you could do it ;D

and blaster first of all scripting/programming isn't easy, second difference between sco and script is, that sco uses all functions iv has. u can "edit" all game related stuff as menues and statistics, keys, mission, what happens when u do something, script doesnt allow all things. scripts are more for adding things, which are optional for game

in theory there is no difference between sco or Aru's hook, as both execute native game code. Of course for IV, we can't just stop

The game loaded sco scripts ( like main, and the stat-timer) as it would screw up Niko's story. For this mod, you would be able to outright kill these scripts on startup, and replace them with your own code.

 

Your notion of adding stuff is simply because you don't want to mess with the missions and story of the game,(iv), in this case you do want to mess with it, and Aru's hook has the potential to do just that.

 

Of course some things like gtarandom pointed out aren"t possible (cutscenes, animations), this is however not due to limitations in the hook.

With my mod CJ-IV, most, but city_poke dosen't want it in the mod, seeing as it isn't nessesary, and even though i have the files of this mod, i'm not in the team or credits xD

We are apologising for not broadcasting the showcase event today. I had to play with Rockstar on THEIR event. (Liberty_King) my Social Club account.

Has been quite a ride with them!

 

The event is now scheduled for tomorrow though , so i hope you'll be there. When we start it will be announced on here.

I have an Idea for the cutscenes.. just record the SA ones and make a script that loads the video file of the cutscene for the mission..this is all I can think about atm without a tool for editing WAD files.

Im noob at scripting so I cant help at that..(but im gonna learn it soon biggrin.gif)

Oh god, recording Cutscenes is a big fail. because you need the right resulotion for all Monitors. My Resulotion is 2560x1440..

Oh god, recording Cutscenes is a big fail. because you need the right resulotion for all Monitors. My Resulotion is 2560x1440..

A lot of games have pre-rendered cut scenes. It's not a big deal to have an SD video and an HD video, and then have the game pick one based on the resolution.

Well I've got some work coming up this month and I'm building the perfect 8 core/16Gb/dual GTX480 system for it. Might be viable if I got an SSD.

 

Or someone with a couple decent extra systems could just hook them up as a sort of 24/7 render farm.

 

But that would all be a waste once someone releases some proper editing tools.

I was just going to suggest that... It's a good idae and its not that hard to do..

here is a video showing mounted bikes. on trailer,so vehicle transporter is possible...unless he added the bike models in 3dmax or something

problem on the first one is, where is a downlaod link?! and those scripts, i dont see the truck without trailer, i think it's allways with trailer and so it isn't like in SA

Should take less i think.. Not only low res textures, but also less object textures.. As streets arent that rich..
