[WIP|REL] Xbox Cars to PC

Just to list all the issues I've noticed:

 

The Mule, Benson, Rumpo, and Firetruck still have the see-through logo issue (on the Firetruck's case, it's the big number on it). The Yankee does not have this problem, so it shouldn't be hard to fix the others.

 

The Oceanic, Washington, and Sandking have a distorted reflection bug.

 

Also, the Hunter looks way too shiny. Is the reflection really like that in the Xbox VC?

 

Other than these, everything else seems to be fine.

I never have had an Xbox, I just work on this mod, I am still to look at the Vans/Trucks decals, I am not too sure about the Reflection and have not touched them.

 

Also the Boxville has bugs with the Decals on the Side.

Interesting and in same time really odd how the Xbox version looks much more detailed than the PC version... (gta 3 and gta vice city)

PC version was more or less a straight port in 2003. The Xbox version was handed to Rockstar Vienna, who took it upon themselves to do some improvements to take advantage of the better hardware (something Rockstar North didn't do for the PC version), which is why in 2004, the Xbox verion of GTA III and Vice City had better quality Textures, Vehicle Models, Effects, and in the case of GTA III redone Character Models.

Yes included, but still looks same like old one. Plates, interior, lights did not changed after install.

several vehicles are like thar r* has only done a 3d engine, it is vehicles like that i have modified and worked on for this mod (examples are peren rumpo pony flatbed trash)

well the xbox version has some sort of real time reflections in it so i think its an issue with the mod

"sanchez.txd" was missing from the install script. there was 2 entries of "sanchez.dff"

 

Keep up the good work and if you need any files of the xbox version PM me I have them all.

maybe he thinks the lods are ugly/too low quality (which they should be)

The cuban hermes lod has no flames, the gang burrito lod is always white and the sabre turbo lod has a wrong texture

 

also noticed something about the sanchez, the right rear-dropout isnt aligned with the axle

Sabre Turbo looks like Polaris V8 from VCS.

The ONLY vehicle that I have made is the Boxville, the Xbox Boxville was identical to the PC model, with maybe a better quality steering wheel, I built a new Highquality version using pieces from the Mr Whoop.

Have you got the Official Drivers for your Graphics Card?

 

I think someone had a similar problem when they were using the ones included in Windows.

Well, I have GTS450 and updated drivers, it isn't so old card then, I don't know, why it won't correctly.

I think this is the Issue, but I could be wrong.

With the Material Editor up you will notice some Materials have high reflectiveness, click on it.

You will see the Level of the reflectiveness and can adjust it to a more suitable level or completely turn it off.

Done, you will just have to repeat the process for all the Items that need it (Doors, Boot, Bumpers, etc.)

Tried it, but sadly it didn't help...

 

I think it has something to do with the side light is coming. As if that white thing is on one side, the other side is normal, but if I turn the car over, it will go to the other side...

Hey ALMOST610, I just had something occur to me. Since you replaced the LOD models of the wheels with the normal ones (so they always draw in HQ), wouldn't the same thing be possible for the vehicles as well?

 

I just see no need for the LODs of the vehicles at all. I find it hard to believe any PC that can run the game at full speed will suffer a massive performance hit without those. Plus, it would also look a lot better.

 

What do you think? Can it be done?
