Hello, guys. Jimmy here.

I suggested what we could do for the 10000 mission anniversary in this topic --> http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=465326

In short, I was thinking that us, DYOM users could come up with a whole new GTA SA story and then everyone could make 1 mission following the storyline in order to make that ''new story''.

For those who agree, you can write your suggestions about the story, who would be the main character etc. After that, we'll put all your suggestions in one story...somehow biggrin.gif Try to write suggestions similar to others so that we could join your suggestions into one. If they will be to dissimilar, we will not be able to do this project.

So, I'll start. I would go with a storyline that is different but also very similar to the original GTA story. A male protagonist (Maybe Sweet's character or Woozie's) who came to a new town to start a better life and get away from all the screw ups he did back in the other city. However, his enemies have found him and he has to fight against them..again. Something like that. I hope that you like this suggestion. biggrin.gif Write your own. Let's start with the project. ROCK N' ROLL !!!! smile.gif

Another thing: Who wants to participate in this --> Join here --> http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=465409

Well, I enjoyed the normal SA missions in Los Santos. You know, rollin with the grove. I missed missions like that later. I would like another gangsta tale. But one that is canon with the SA storyline. How about a story about a few friends that once be in the middle between a gang war and they find a big amount of money/drugs and decide to start their own real gang?

If not, then something inspired my Menace to Society.

About your idea, the person should still be involved with crime in the new city somehow. Maybe he starts working for an old friend that does a few illegal things?

I will be willing to agree on any type of story, however even if everyone doesnt agree on one part.. that is where the missions come into play.. say if I create some mission based on the last one and someone else doesn't really enjoy that part.. they can shape the story.

If we are going to shape the story based what people create, then the story should not be one to be agreed on..

I mean we can suggest a theme and try to stick with it.. but because it is going to be mixed with everyones ideas..its not a premade or pre planning of what is going to happen, because we are not going to know what happens next.

Ofcourse, we might need to have some rules to follow by.. everyone would want to make a mission.. and it might not seem fun if someone hogs 3-4 missions in before someone else makes a mission. I was suggesting you can make 1-2 missions to post at a time, but u must wait for 2-4 missions by other people before posting another one. So in simple version

for as many missions you want, you need to wait double for as many missions u posted before. if I posted 2 missions at 1 time.. i need to wait til 4 missions are done by other people.

This will create the fairness so everyone can share their ideas.. but also encourage people to post less missions at a time.

Agree. And one of the rules should be that the main character does not die. But all supporting characters can die.

Yes. I agree on what you said about missions - if we let others to shape the story on the spot, it would be more dramatic cause all others who are also the developers of the story won't know what is actually going to happen. However, if my calculations are correct, we are talking about 20 or maybe even more DYOM users who will join in. So, if 1 DYOM user makes just 2 missions, we already have 40 of them - minimum. If 1 DYOM user makes just 3 missions, we already have 60 missions - minimum. We can make the rules to follow as you guys suggested, but still, how can we control who will and who won't post missions at certain time of the day? For example: If we make a storyline or a base theme to follow let's say, today and I decide that very day to make the intro and the 1st mission, I sure won't be the only person who will want that. So we could face with the problem at the very beginning - we could have minimum 2-3 intros of the same storyline and I think that's not acceptable for the project. It would be funny actually. biggrin.gif

So, my suggestion is that the first thing what we need to do is to make a thread/list where the all DYOM users who want to participate in this project will have to write a comment below to count themselves in. After that, we have to make another list that will be exact list of who is making a mission after who. If you know what I mean - If the list of participants is for example: Doublepulse, mati1501 and Jimmy_Leppard, then we have to make a list in which Doublepulse is making the first 2 missions, then the second 2 missions is on mati1501, the next 2 is on me and again from the beginning, the 7th and 8th mission is on Doublepulse etc. etc...Anyone agrees?

Thats a good plan. But what if I for example wont post a mission when its my turn?

You will have to. Or I don't know xD. You'll have to say that you want to skip this turn and you'll have to wait until it's your turn again.

You don't have to write the whole story, but you have to come up with some kind of story. Not a complete story, but a part of it. The basics. Else it would be a lot of missions together without something like a storyline.

It's simple to create a rule that you have to make the mission within, let's say, 48 hours (2 days). Of course, this is just an example. If you are working on it, but you need more time, you can reply so that you will get longer. But then you know that someone is working on it and he didn't forget it. tounge.gif

Hmmm..Ok. Something like this: The protagonist is a Grove street gang member. Grove street is the most powerful gang in LS in this time. The Grove's are planning a big gang war against The Ballas (I suggest that we give new and cooler names for the gangs). A very big amount of gang members of these 2 gangs will come at the war zone. The police/SWAT doesn't know about it. If they find out about it and if they would come to the war zone, it would mean the end of The Grove's and The Ballas cause the police/SWAT would either kill them all or put them in jail. However, the police/SWAT somehow finds out about the gang war and comes to the war zone and kills/busts almost every gang member there. Some Grove street member, who was paid by the police to sold out the gangs and the gang war place, plants it to the protagonist. So, the 2 most powerful gangs in LS are after the protagonist who is not guilty.

Maybe something like this? biggrin.gif

It is a good start of the story. Th first mission should be the gang war, where we have to shoot a few SWATs but most of the gang members die and the protagonist escapes. The rest should be up to the one who continues the story. Anything can happen.

Great idea! :]

I'm not really a well known DYOM designer, nor pretty experienced, but I wish I could help. tounge.gif

If you guys agree, I would like to help you! :3

Of course you can help. That is the point. You do your best and it will be good biggrin.gif

Jimmy_Leppard
Ok Jimmy how can i help you im ready always just tell me what u need ok biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Slow down, dude. There is a lot of stuff to do before we start making missions. It's not just up to me. biggrin.gif You'll get informed when we'll start. Just track this topic. smile.gif
