GAME CRASH

Hi i am new to the forum.I have modded a few cars in my GTA SA and my game crashes.The problem is in carmods.dat but i can't find a mistake.

plss help me i dont wanna replace all these cars all over again.i gona f*ckin delete this game.Tell me where is the mistake when i place the original carmods.dat the game doesn't crash.Here is my carmods.dat

Are you talking about VC or SA?-cause you said SA in your post, but yet you posted in the VC section.?

 

Troubleshooting for both games: Are you using the Original CD(VC)/DVD(SA)? OR a No CD/DVD crack? Is this the Retail version or a Download version? If Downloaded, from where? Does the game run fine without mods?-if so, it is the mods that are the problem, and a Un-install/re-install without mods will get the game running normal again.(remember to delete the .set file from the User Files Folder in Documents(Vista and 7)/My Documents(XP).

 

 

If SA, the above plus, What version do you have? V1 is the only Fully moddable game, V2 is only moddable to a certain extent-that means no .img mods or the likes, and V3(the Steam/D2D version) is not moddable at all and cannot be downgraded.

 

But regardless, an un-install/re-install, plus deleting the .set file and not installing mods will get the game running normally, as long as your PC meets the minimum requirements for the game and it is a legit version...

For GTA San Andreas discussion you may want to go to this sub-forum. This is a forum dedicated to the game called Vice City which was released a few years beforehand.

 

As for actual troubleshooting, maybe you could tell us where you obtained the game from. I don't doubt that you obtained it legally, but as radioman said there are different limitations when it comes to the modification abilities of the different types of games.

 

V1: Moddable.

V1.1: Needs downgrading, look here.

V2: Needs downgrading, look here.

V3: Not moddable. Can't be downgraded.

 

Be warned, the downgrader patch may not work all of the time. But keep trying it and deleting the GTA_SA.set file which you will find along a file path such as: C:\Users\YourName\Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files if you are on Windows Vista like me.

The thing that you have to do ALWAYS...Backup! I have 4 folders with GTA3.IMG carcols cargrps handling default vehicles and carmods!If i can help you with any way,just tell me how to!
