miocene
I have owned GTAIV since it came out on PC and had it installed on my old desktop with these specs Core2 Duo 6400 2.13GHz GeForce 7900 GS 256Mb 2GB DDR2 These was before any patches had been released and although the game was playable, it was pretty choppy, even on low settings. I have recently purchased a new laptop as I'm out and about a while and was considering installing the game on it. My specs: Core i3 M350 2.27GHz GeForce 310M 512Mb 2GB DDR3 I know my RAM could do with an upgrade but how do you think GTAIV will run on this machine compared to my desktop? Do the patches make a big difference to performance? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/465314-on-my-laptop/ Share on other sites
Girish
Don't expect too much. But you might be able to get the game to run smoothly on low settings. And no, the patches don't really make a noticeable difference to the game's performance, at least not in a positive way from what I've experienced. But they do introduce more graphical options which help you in getting better performance and you also need them if you wish to play online.
