Dreakon
I used to own a PS3 a couple months back. I had to get rid of it (for reasons I don't feel like getting into). I had Episodes of Liberty City, but not the original GTA IV. I got a little ways into the two DLC before I lost the PS3 and got a few of the easier trophies, nothing big. So (long story short) I have a PS3 again. This time around, I decided to get The Complete Edition (I love my GTA). Onto the questions... 1) I noticed I'm getting trophies that I already had from Episodes of Liberty City. Is that normal? Seems like this new one just cleared everything out. Not that it's a big deal or anything, I kind of prefer it that way actually since I intend to play through them all again anyways and getting trophies is fun! Just curious more than anything. 2) What I did was (once I got home with The Complete Edition), I played through a few minutes of GTA IV and saved. Then I played through a little bit of Ballad of Gay Tony, and then a little bit of Lost and Damned, giving each game/DLC it's own save slot. I do this so I can play whichever I feel like without going through the intros/intro missions. When I quit out of the game completely and loaded GTA IV though, it complained about not having some downloaded content and made me start a new game. Can I not switch freely between GTA IV and the DLC's without running into trouble, or did I do something wrong? Is it because I originally played and saved GTA IV without running/installing the DLC's? Thanks guys! Sorry it's a little long-winded! Barry Spock
On the first bit - are you using the same account info that you had on the old PS3? I thought trophy data was stored on the Sony servers, so if you logged in on a buddies' box, it'd still show your trophy count. Although, I notice that eventhough I have the 'under the radar' trophy, every time I'm playing a new game, or even online, if I go under a bridge, the game will start counting how many bridges I have to go. On the second bit, reload the old save of the game, play a little then resave. Maybe that'll fix it. Before I got The Complete Edition, I could see my GTA trophies still in there. Only after playing and earning a trophy did I notice they seemed to be gone. Trophy data is infact stored on the servers. My only guess would be that maybe The Complete Edition added or changed some trophies and that cleared them? That's the only thing that makes sense. Like I said though, no biggie. I didn't have any tough ones anyways. As for the second problem, I guess starting a new game after installing the DLC's fixed it. I'm able to load all of them now without any problems.
