Chimpso
Here's a place where we can discuss the 007 GoldenEye games. The Wii version looks interesting. But I still prefer the 15 year old N64 version. Which I believe to be one of the best (if not THE best) First person shooters ever made.
XMike
I completely forgot they were coming out with a Wii version. Nothing will ever beat the game on N64 though. I used to play that religiously. Me and friends would sit in my room playing split screen all day.

The wii is 95% because of goldeneye. one of if not the best ever game made for consoles IMO. As far as multiplayer went then this game had is sewn up. Loved it. d0mm2k8
I've never played this game, but I saw this and thought maybe someone would be interested: http://www.pcgamer.com/2010/12/14/goldeneye-source-released/ It's basically a mod that adds the multiplayer aspect of Goldeneye to the Source engine. Worth a look if you're a fan, I'd say.
Seddo
How have Microsoft failed to get this on Live Arcade (not sure if Sony have tried to get it on PSN) and yet here are Nintendo with it on their console?
Chimpso
Just had a look at some of the Wii version levels on Youtube. They are a lot longer. But seem a little more interesting. Too bad I don't have a Wii.

I mean, I love my 360, but anyone who didn't see that as an obvious ploy at aiming for the casual market is blind. Just get the Wii. It has solid titles on it. It isn't just motion sensing, which is what Kinetic is all about edit-just read the top rated comment: 'GAMES SO INNOVATIVE THEY PLAY THEMSELVES' I love youtube

Jason
This remaster has been a looooooooong time coming, and yet they've still f*cked it up somehow for reasons unknown. It was made in the 360 days, intended to release on XBLA, and at the last minute after it was done Nintendo stopped it. Fast forward to about last year and Nintendo wanted some Rare stuff on their Nintendo sub service and an agreement was made that finally allowed it to release on Xbox, and finally after many leaks it's finally here. ...but the Switch and Xbox versions are, for reasons unknown, different. The Switch version will include online multiplayer it seems but the Xbox version does not. Edit: So the versions are the same, but this is not the remake that was made years ago and has been sitting on a shelf for years. The reason the Switch version has online is they're able to do some funky stuff through the NSO platform to do it. It seems Nintendo are still blocking the remake sadly. Bigglo145
Hmm, idk how i feel about this. It can never capture the essence of the orignal n64 version, so why remake? I dont remember the last good james bond game. Okay, actually I do and it was on the ps2 (forget which one).

Honestly, didn't think it would ever happen. So much red tape and what not to get this done.

The covers look too similar honestly, but I remember there were car levels if thats any indicator
EkaSwede
As much as I loved this game as a kid, I have some doubts about it today. Controls have kinda aged badly and it's really stiff compared to other FPS games. I know it took FPS on console to a different directino at the time (impressive given the devs had no expereince with FPS games. GoldenEye wwas originally planned to be some sort of Rail shooter) but it really shows its age. I'm sure a lot will have som enice nostalgia, but on 00 Agent the difficulty can ramp up with enemies' fast reaction and love for throwing grenades (Aztec) at th emost inopportune of times and no checkpoints. As for multiplayer, I can just see the mess. We have 3 characters that people will race to pick, in order: Oddjob, Siberian SPecial Forces and Moonraker Elite (Female). First one's obvious; too damn short, second one often blends into some stages, and third one is short, but has bright yellow clothing. On a side note, I loved messing with friends by hiding in th etoilet vents of Facility. They didn't know hwo to get up there unless you'd respawn there. And I hoep they make the respawns on random location and not in a set order like it was on the N64. See, on some stages it was almost impossible to come back from gettin gkilled as a skilled player with enough map knowledge would know the EXACT order of respawning and spawn camp you. EDIT: If enemies figure out how to shoot over railings, some stages will become damn near impossible. Especially Cradle. OysterBarron
It's going to be interesting with it running at 4 times the fps it originally shipped at 12-15fps. I think that will be enough to make it feel alot fresher and there's no way they would ship it with the same controls it had back then certainly expecting modern fps controls. GoogieToons
I was in my early 20's when this came out, I still play it to this day on my emulator. I remember back in the days someone was remaking the whole Goldeneye 007 game in Half Life 2, I think it was a mod, but it looked legit.
