Tips to get EFLC to run properly?

Ok, so I'm pretty much desperate. You know there is something wrong with EFLC when ENB on regular IV runs better than EFLC running no ENB.

 

I'm using patch 1.1.2.0, is there another patch that allows for better performance, or is this the only one? I just find it very frustrating that I have to have my settings below autoconfig's settings to get the game to avg over 30 fps. Absolutely absurd. I can't believe how poorly this game performs... and I thought the original IV was bad.

 

 

So I don't care what I need to do, patch my IV to a specific patch, steal the shaders from it, ANYTHING. I just want to get my game to run as perfectly as my IV can.

 

 

 

EDIT: And before anyone asks, I have indeed searched high and low, not only on this forum, but on google and other search engines for tweaks, and couldn't find much other than the stupid "ultimate graphics tweak" which shows up as a virus, and immediately gets deleted. I also can't patch my game with it after I get it working, because I have my handling.dat modded.

Autoconfig on both EFLC and GTA4 is misguided and gives settings that allow you 20-30fps. You should try and customize your settings yourself. Sliders should definitely not be above 50 and shadows only on 'high' to maintain 30fps+.

Then how come IV autoconfigs way less, and I get 50-60 fps avg with all settings on max on patch 7? I don't think you're exactly right man.

 

 

Anyway, I downloaded p1tch's ENB series for EFLC, and surprisingly I gained an average of 10 fps more in gameplay and 2 fps more in the benchmark on TBoGT, I haven't tried TLAD yet. In fact, I still have never played it lol. Probably will tomorrow.

Some people have GTAIV running great with EFLC hauling ass, other people have the opposite. Yet still there are many claiming there is nothing wrong with the game.

I tried realizmiv but it just gives me a black screen at startup and gives me an error message after the next 5 seconds. ( im using eflc )

 

Try lowering your settings. I have patch 1.1.1.0 and my game has no problem getting 20-30 fps on medium settings. I rarely get 10 fps except when I spawn millions of cars and when it's raining. How bout if you downpatch to 1.1.1.0?
