[IV|WIP] Vice City RAGE

The "PED Code" is not giving you lag, the lag origin is from the stupid waste R* did with textures and the bunch of scripts the game handles at same time to give

life to the city with alot of actions and stuff

Scripts have nothing to do with that.

Those guys are the ones responsible for everything scripts are less than 2 MB they are just text.

Noh, it's because Cockstar did a terrible port from the xbox360/ps3 version.

Correction, Xbox 360 version only, that was the lead platform, even the PS3 got a downgraded port.

actually Xbox 360 has better graphics and yes ps3 had an big downgrade on graphics.PC has better graphics.

Not sure where your getting that from but at least if you install the latest pack it's good enough

Actually, you just confirmed what I said, so erm, thanks. You might have read it wrong though, the guy said that the PC version is a port of the Xbox 360 and PS3 version, I said it's actually just the 360 version that the PC was ported from, as the PS3 version was also ported from 360. PS3 suffered in Graphics, PC suffered in Performance, that's because RAGE is an Xbox 360 engine. I'm not saying the PC version doesn't have better graphics, I'm saying, for what the game is doing, it's bloated and uses much more resources than it should be.

well i think pc can be fixed by modding fps will be fixed but not much.

It seems to me that there is a difference between Vice IV and Vice City Rage.

Vice IV's team is focused on just geting the map in first so we can enjoy the Vice City map atleast in IV and then they will make it Pritty.

Vice City Rage is taking there time as they convert and is slowly geting the map into the game but as they go there geting all the detales.

Thats why Vice IV seems to have the wholl map in before they make it pritty and Vice City Rage is making it pritty as they go so there work starts out looking better but they dont have the wholl map yet. Atleast to my knowlige.

In my opinion tho both mods are great and I wish good luck to both teams.

does it have a lot of crashes?

is the col working properly?

sorry for the questions but i want to enjoy the mod smile.gif

We have no crashes and dissapearing objects ingame, but the collision is still unstable, because Shadow's Plugins have a very "basic" export of collision. We have to wait until another export scripts will be released (I can say, that it will be really soon). But I don't say, that Shadow's Plugins make bad collision. It is unstable, but it is the first working collision export, that help us to make map and vehicle tests. The first release version of the modification will have stable collisions.

The cars are from the Xbox version of VC. For the Xbox version, Rockstar hired a third party studio to remodel each car with more detail.
