I just downloaded it from the Torrent, It took about a hour but it isn't dead.

 

Also it looks great guys, Im just having one problem which is that the game crashes on the loading screen (After pressing start), When i use the updater it comes up saying after checking a few files "You have a incorrect file. Access to the statistics system was denied" Just wondering it that may have to do with it and how i can fix it?

I've been running into a big problem when trying to play the mod.

I got this error too for a few folders the updater expects exist.

Check your path and make sure the folder structure exists, eg,

is there a paths folder at common\data\

if not create it and run the launcher again.

You may get the error again for other non-existant folders. Just manually create them too.

Yep, VCHD does much more than come close.

It has a re-modeled city + vehicles + player + more, it will even have the original GTAVC missions (programmed by me). Click my signature for more details in the gtaf topic.

But status still shows WIP.

It surely looks amazing but I don't know whether to try and risk semi-finished work (no offense intended).

Can you redirect a simple stuff like many SA graphics mod that gives the outlook of VC a better (modern graphics) feel?

If not a conversion but an enhancement mod will also help a lot for playing VC.

Vice city Rage is definitely worth checking out. Despite some mod-unfriendly decisions they did a fanatastic job. The hard part is getting it setup.

Also does anyone know where the real handling.cfg for vice city rage is, I found four of them but I don't know which one is the real one.
