Hmmn, it was a clean install too, very odd, nevermind re-installing again...

The install also has to be where you originaly installed EFLC. Just switch the directory names when you play with mods. This is not the case when you mod on GTA IV, but for EFLC it is.

Everything was in the default "C://Programs/Rockstar Games/EFLC" folder, oh well now to sit through another 20mins of installing.

Hate to tell you, but I'm not 100% if it will work. Its just my guss with past experiances with GTA IV. Did you have any issues when playing with the normal game?

 

But if it doesnt work, I'm sorry for telling you to reinstall. The Episodes From Liberty City installation process is painfully long, and is alot worse than GTA IV's installation process.

Nope, loaded fine first time, made sure of that before installing VCR. If this doesn't work though I will be pretty disappointed, because it sort of has to work for me to continue VCHD confused.gif

 

Edit: sh*t, after all that I get the same sodding error confused.gif

 

Edit: Finally got it working, used the original "LauncheVCR.exe" and moved all my save files, et voila!

Nope, loaded fine first time, made sure of that before installing VCR. If this doesn't work though I will be pretty disappointed, because it sort of has to work for me to continue VCHD confused.gif

Great. Sorry about having you reinstall. EFLC installing is painfull because its a big game. It installs all of GTA IV's files (only audio and anim folder is different). GTA IV's installation was bad but not as bad as EFLC.

 

But were you using LaunchEFLC.exe? That could of been the issue. The img files are loaded through the content.dat, which the normal launcher doesnt use. My bypass should fix it if you plan on using mods.

No worries, thanks. Although it's a pain that to unlock all the islands means you have to compromise VC's audio and weapons.

Yes, because Tommy sounds like Niko when you remove the file.

 

Maybe someone will remove the limit in the file that causes the player to die. Also if the Rage team wanted to lock the islands, they shoud of placed the VC map barriers on the bridges, that stoped the player from going to the other island, when they didnt unlock it yet.

That would not be useless because the death thing is still there, but people won't drive into it and die, thinking they can drive to the other island.

I know that. I'm just saying, it just kinda goes along with the way the left island was blocked off in the normal game when it wasnt unlocked. But what would be best is no limits at all, and the wholl map. People will just hack their way around it, and loose features you want them to have. You could have something like an Unfinished warning.

 

Also, new files for the IV SA map crash like this one does when flying. Blaster said he increased the drawdistance of trees, and lights, so VCR's map may be crashing from the same issue. The game gets overloaded when it has to render all of those map objects at a time.

I just don't want people to post videos on YouTube and other reports with bugs and glitches of the second island. After hacking the boundaries in the first beta many such videos appeared. The only way to do it is to block the access to the second island.

 

Also, new files for the IV SA map crash like this one does when flying. Blaster said he increased the drawdistance of trees, and lights, so VCR's map may be crashing from the same issue. The game gets overloaded when it has to render all of those map objects at a time.

Making flying height lower would be stuped, and wouldnt work. Some spots you can crash when your just above the trees, and even in the water. I'm sure its a map issue that can be fixed.

 

But if you know how to edit the flying height, you should tell the Ghostown team how to rase it so you can fly above their map. Also the IV SA team would need the TBOGT height limit on the IV version of the mod. I would also like to have a higher height limit. Hopefully you know how to edit it. It would be usefull to Ghostown big time. On the IV version, you can only fly around the map.

seriously WHY is it so important it's a MOD why do you care if people happen to make a video of a bug?

 

theres plenty of bugs at the playable areas aswell

 

is that your reason you blocked it all off forcing people to stay in the best area because otherwise it may hurt your reputation? who are you to make the rules? if you made it then sure but vice city is not made by you you just converted it

 

you are acting like a game company a bad one and this is for a mod

 

just let people play the mod like they want not like how you want it to be played

 

it's like a demo you cannot access the whole thing like mafia 2 demo question is do you even have the right to do this?

 

instead ask people not to release videos of it bugged ask them instead of forcing them

 

i am not trying to bash your work i am trying to convince you to stop with this madness

Yeah if you're only blocking it off because people would show the bugs on YouTube then that's pretty silly. There's a load of bugs on the first island, and even when you think you've fixed everything bugs will still be found (eg. swing glitch in IV).

If you do that i will play Beta 1 instead of Beta 1.1 .

And for roadblocks , we can go in the other island by heli with spawning it with SNT .

It's not iCEnhancer. Those settings look okay in GTA IV but even then there's many things about iCEnhancer that look really bad in my opinion. I tweaked some old settings made by Dpeasant before he started making his ENB all over-contrasty and such, here you go.

Hey guys, I've always loved Dpeasant's old 1.0c2 settings package for GTA IV, but as his settings have progressed I've always came back to these. In my opinion his timecyc is constantly getting better, but the over-contrasty enbeffect.fx file is a major step backwards. This is why I've uploaded this package, I want to get these settings back out into the open, as Dpeasant really did a great job on them.

 

I've been tweaking this over the years as new advancements have been made in shader technology for ENB series. You can see a full changelog from the original settings listed below. These settings are designed for version 1.0.4.0 of GTA IV, but also work with 1.0.7.0 and EFLC. However, as ENB is not designed to work with 1.0.7.0 some features will not work (Skylighting mainly), and when the camera is pointed at certain angles you will encounter rare 'red sky bugs'.

 

You can download these settings from the link in the description, I've included an install and uninstallation guide, and four different folders for four different versions of IV (Patch 1.0.4.0 (4), 1.0.7.0 (7), Episodes From Liberty City and Vice City Rage (EFLC). I've also included a full backup of the original files which are replaced by this modifcation. Enjoy! All credit for the files I used goes to Boris Vorontsov/Dpeasant3/DKT70/gp65cj04 for the original ENB modification files, and cimy_93 for the 1.0.7.0/EFLC shaders fix smile.gif

Updated from ENB 0.79 to 0.82.

Removed effect.txt and replaced with FXAA code (antialiasing).

Applied Boris' motion blur fix to the enbeffect.fx.

Swapped DOF settings for gp65cj04's amazing real time code.

Included 'shaderinput' folder from Dpeasant's 1.02b pack, not sure if it does anything.

Updated lightsprite and tree settings to those from Dpeasant's 1.02b pack.

Changed stars amount to 0.3, much more realistic.

where did you find the bike?

Spawned the 'PCJ' with Simple Native Trainer. Also, you need to freeze your weather type using Native Trainer if you want to use anything other than 'Sunny' in Vice City Rage too, there must be a script controlling that.

Ah, well I'm not using a trainer at the moment, I wonder why they don't spawn in traffic though? Which race do they appear in?
