[IV|WIP] Vice City RAGE

You guys havent seen the ICEnhancer screenshots for 1.0.4.0.?

His latest version looks amazing for IV, but there's no way it would suit Vice City RAGE. It's focus on realism, which while great doesn't really lend itself to a map like Vice City. Also, it looks completely different on 1.0.7.0.

 

And yeah, I'll upload my settings if anyone wants them. I have two versions of my settings. One is based off Dpeasant's 1.0c2 settings with a few tweaks by me (up to date motion blur, post processing changes, changes to AO/trees and other settings). The other settings are quite similar, but I use his latest timecyc/enbseries.cfg file instead with different tweaks detailed in my changelog. The reason I don't use his latest settings by default is because his enbeffect.fx is way over-contrasted, doesn't look good at all in my opinion. That's why I use the old enbeffect in combination with his new settings sometimes, with extra tweaks on top of them as well.

 

I use both simply because his latest settings have a much better timecyc, but I still prefer my tweaks of his older settings overall with the older timecyc, because I think it looks a lot more balanced. If you like my screens I'll upload the oldest settings, you can take my word that it looks better than the other package aside from the timecyc. I'd keep in mind that these look a lot better on GTA IV 1.0.4.0 than they do on EFLC/VC Rage since you can't enable skylighting and some other features of ENB on the latest version of IV. If you didn't guess by now, I used the settings based off 1.0c2 for these screenies. Didn't go for anything particularly cinematic here, just wanted to show off some gameplay screenshots

I'm tweaking the timecyc on Next Generation Graphics and it looks pritty damn good. It looks good on IV's LC. Not sure about Vice City Rage.

I've optimized it, but the enbeffect.fx causes more lag than I would like, and I have no experience modifying HLSL shaders. I get more FPS using iCEnhancer or L3EVO (both tweaked down to better filter settings), but it would only take a few tweaks to the enbeffect to boost FPS. I get about 40-60 using my settings, I'd estimate another 10-20 is possible if somebody could help me clean up the code.

Quantum's timecyc expresses miami, this enb doesn't, nothing more to say about it.

I love Quantum's timecyc, but I think it's pretty ignorant to say it looks worse, regardless of your opinion. There's technically a lot more going on with the visuals, and they're pretty damn similar to Vice City really. You're looking at about 5-6 different types points in time in the screenshots, that's not enough to write off a whole mod .

 

I'll upload them Deadly Target, but I'll also upload the newer version in case anyone wants to try them. They look worse in my opinion, but the timecyc is undoubtedly better. You'll notice areas in the older version were the timecyc doesn't look very good, but the whole timecyc looks amazing on the newest version. The downside is that you have less balanced settings overall by going with the new version. Both versions include a readme and 4 different folders. One for patch 4, one for patch 7, one for EFLC and one for VC Rage since the file structure is different.

Delete the game folder, job done. If you want EFLC back, run install from control panel and choose repair.

Thanks man, I hate the over-contrasted crap you get with most ENB settings, I love my clean settings . Uploading the settings for Vice City Rage only, wont include patch 4/7/EFLC folders. Includes install/uninstall guide, changelog from the original settings and full backup of original files. If you want to use any weather types aside from 'Sunny', you'll need to freeze time using a trainer (Simple Native Trainer is a good one), select the weather type you want to use, freeze it and then unfreeze time. This is because the default timecyc for Vice City Rage is unfinished, so they locked the game to Sunny Weather only.

 

Also as a result of Vice City Rage being based on EFLC, not all features of ENB will be enabled, and sometimes you will see the whole sky turn red when the camera is pointed at specific angles (this is quite rare, but it happens). Uploading both packages right now, changed installation guide to focus only on Vice City Rage. Each package comes in at about 11mb (rar compressed).

 

EDIT: Uploading has finished, enjoy . Oh and please read the installation/uninstallation guide thoroughly, as I guarantee I've already answered any questions you might have in my guide.

 

ENB 0.82 - Dpeasant 1.0c2 (Modified By Shadowsniper) - Vice City Rage - Better settings, worse timecyc.

ENB 0.82 - Dpeasant 1.3 Beta (Modified By Shadowsniper) - Vice City Rage - Worse settings, better timecyc.

 

Both packages look similar, but I like the first package more. If you want a timecyc with consistently high quality and equally great settings go for Beta 1.3, but if you want even better amazing settings with some bad points in the timecycle then go for the first beta. First beta was used to take these screenshots.

And btw, is people ignoring my posts? have posted the same thing twice and dindt receive any answer. I was asking about entering the team in a better way , but i prefer to receive a 'sorry but no' then ignoring me, plus i know people doesnt like me but what else can i do? things arent f*cked up, there is no reason for hating me.

Has anyone gotten this to work with the Steam version? I went out and bought it on steam to get this mod, and I just get it with the VC mini map, and weapons, but EFLC everything else.

Sorry to have to post and I'm sure others have asked, but I really had hoped to get this working and used the last of my monthly downloads to get this (don't live in Australia if you like downloading stuff)

Wait when you open my archive was there a TBoGT folder? I had the content.dat and images.txt in there. I may of forgot to put the common folder in the TBOGT folder in the folder called VCR. Anyways thanks for fixing my error. I'll try your files to see if it fixes the up high crash. Do you get it with these files ShakingASS?
