I am asking for the 3rd time now: How can I get the hunter and the tank.

Tank is hidden on the map

 

My game got updated to version 24 by the launcher, and now the game starts, and then I am getting stuck at the "starting new game" for minutes on end. Not sure how long I am supposed to wait, but I killed the process after two minutes.

Try to delete "LaunchVCR_new.exe".

Any clues where it's hidden? Which area? And now please don't say that it is on the second island which is not accessible.

It is on the firs island of course. It's somwhere at north

It seems my decision to press 1 (video editor) has something to do with my problem, it seems to be hardcoded somewhere, as I basically started over again, updated to version 15, when I now launch launcheflc.exe I actually get ingame, but the video editor is launched ?

Oops, I remember: I installed all the radio files that some nice guy posted. The size of your radio files was about 1.5GB whereas the one he posted was 500MB. So I replaced them. I didn't see any difference in the quality of the files but why is there such a big difference between the sizes?

I disagree, the point of threads like these are to make the mod better or if you will more enjoyable. The suggestion to deny access to the stats system when alteration of the mod is detected is a very valid one. Vanilla players get to enjoy the mod the way the team has intended it, the players who decide to alter any part of the game (like running a trainer, or changing the wav files to MP3 and hence change the radio.dat file, which also will deny access to stats) will simply be denied the stats options, and will run the game on their own terms.

 

The hatred towards the launcher I guess is mainly because it tries to delete alterations (like asi mods) without warning, later version of the launcher will deny launching the game when deletion cannot proceed, this is clearly not the way to go. First it is easy to circumvent, and second it would not be needed if alterations would simply deny stats access.

 

Now, I actually like this mod, it looks absolutely fantastic, but the team not being receptive to suggestions and actually not even responding to them is a big letdown. Communication apparently is lacking severely in this case, that is a shame.

I agree 100% with this post. No offence to you guys, I understand why you made the decisions you did regarding the launcher, that they were made in order to better the experience for everybody. It also must be difficult to deal with all the idiots/ungrateful c*nts that come with releasing a mod in its first beta. The truth is you need to stop blocking ASI mods, there's no reason to do it. I don't see why you can't simply disable statistics like you would if a player modded their handling files or anything else along those lines. You guys also really need to improve communication, you're not going to get any loyalty if you don't respond to any of your feedback.

 

As for the mod itself, it's amazing. But really, posting in this topic is like talking to a brick wall.

BTW, I'm still having a lot of fun killing cops with a machine gun. The go flying.

As alot of zzTrolls spamed here about the tank with SNT is crap... You can find Tank on the first island we just hidded it for you to find it. Hunter is not ready yet, it has some bugs with it and it will come with second island on the army base.

Feedback: Would be a lot better if the launcher could remember your login details, annoying to type them in every time.

Bug: When you shoot at police/police car you get a 3 star wanted level, but you should get a 2 star wanted level.

you do know i am not spamming everything i say is true and you basically killed your own modification let me guess you lost 50% of your fans and for what? you havn't even explained why you are blocking trainer access but if you want people to dissect your mod and rerelease then by all means continue as thats what will and is happening

 

and i know for a FACT that i am not the only one who feels like this you actually blocking out people from playing something that you don't even own i am amazed that the thread has not been locked yet

For some reason, my game isn't working anymore. Everything is working the way it should but when I select the play button on the main menu, it either loads the video editor and then when I exit it it keeps on loading or it just says Starting a new game and doesn't loads.

Yeah, same happened to me, try launching the game and choose 1 in the launcher screen, let it load, in my case it crashed, then try to launch it again.

Blocking video editor? Blocking trainer access? For what reason? Blocking Video editor wont do anything, fraps can record videos.. and yes! I registered to complain about that fact.

Not their stance on trainers no, it benefits nobody and annoys everyone. Just disable statistics, problem solved. As for people the risk of people developing ASI's to bypass that check being a reason to block them... people cheating statistics are a fact of life, the only way you'll prevent it fully is by monitoring the statistics and deleting any records that are out of the ordinary. Do I support the overall mod direction? Definitely, it's best they focus on quality, and their work is absolutely amazing, but if people mod the game then they shouldn't be trying to force them out, because anyone using mods knows the risks of doing so. In other words, keep the island boundaries and statistics blocking, remove the ASI blocks and allow people to delete the boundaries with mods as long as they know the risks.

Bug: I don't think you intended for people to enter the shopping mall yet, but you can still get in through the malls parking lot entrance.

 

 

Bug 2: Texture gaps/can see water through floor in mall (only applicable if you intended for people to enter the mall).

 

 

Bug 3: Usually none of the vehicle spawn locations work. It's very rare that the tank spawn actually appears, same for the maverick. The only one that works properly is the faggio by the lawyers office.

this is not your property you cannot tell anyone wheather they want to use a trainer or not

 

this is a modification a conversion of something you don't own you have no right to tell us how to play OUR game with something you converted

 

if this was a game you made yourself then you would have every right to do this but you don't you are basically taking over something you don't even own

This first beta is a fail .

You shoudn't unable Islands and SNT .

I will wait for the final release of IV ports wich will be more cool than the Demo EFLC version .
