Yep, zzcool, no GUI means the launcher is bad. It's basically the same as other sh*tty launchers, like IVSA, just NO sh*tty GUI. You're a genius, man, "like a batfile" omg.

 

Why did I install and enjoy the mod simply following the 4 simple instructions in the readme and had no problems? Did you even read the readme, people? I know why it's not working for those, for whom it's not working, that's because they're smart**ses who think they know better what to do and how to install.

 

@Rage team: You know in which aspects you failed guys, hope you take that into consideration and make things better. Anyways better than IVSA, even after the end of trolling and stuff, h8 entering that topic, it's like a kindergarden. It's a pity that because of those who can't read the readme and emorage "VICE CITY RAGE NO WORK FOR MEH THESE MOD SUX blah-blah-blah" this topic is getting too unplesant to read...

Yes,but if you start you will take over a mounth,then DELAYED,DELAYED,DELAYED,you gonna make us wait all the night,release,Crash,IV stopped working,comptability problems,Black cmd...

But if your hands at the right place and you install it you can enjoy the stable and a good game with races and everyday updating stuff that we are fixing and adding new stuff. Ehm...

if we wanted updates you should allow us to manually downloading them

 

or do like the saiv team make a real launcher thats not needed to make it work just makes it easier to start and add the update option to that one

anyone can make a better one but thats not really the reason to hate it the reason to hate it is that it is needed to make the game run at all thats why we ALL hate it

EVERYONE HERE HATES THE LAUNCHER AND WANTS IT GONE

 

and heres the easy stepguide to save your sinking ship

 

1.rework the launcer nice menu maybe

 

2.rework the mod so it works without the launcher

 

3.let the player decide if he/she wants to be in "statistics" pressing yes then theres a good reason to block the trainer pressing no will NOT block the trainer

 

do not FORCE people to be in some statistics noone cares about i think i speak for all in this thread when i say this WE HATE THE LAUNCHER

I disagree, the point of threads like these are to make the mod better or if you will more enjoyable. The suggestion to deny access to the stats system when alteration of the mod is detected is a very valid one. Vanilla players get to enjoy the mod the way the team has intended it, the players who decide to alter any part of the game (like running a trainer, or changing the wav files to MP3 and hence change the radio.dat file, which also will deny access to stats) will simply be denied the stats options, and will run the game on their own terms.

 

The hatred towards the launcher I guess is mainly because it tries to delete alterations (like asi mods) without warning, later version of the launcher will deny launching the game when deletion cannot proceed, this is clearly not the way to go. First it is easy to circumvent, and second it would not be needed if alterations would simply deny stats access.

 

Now, I actually like this mod, it looks absolutely fantastic, but the team not being receptive to suggestions and actually not even responding to them is a big letdown. Communication apparently is lacking severely in this case, that is a shame.

did i ever say it was bad because of that? no i did not i just mentiond it allong side

 

it's gui is acceptable dosn't matter to me

 

whats not acceptable is that it must be used to even start the game with that mod

 

second off it forces you to start the game without a trainer

 

maybe this is ok too you but not too me too me it is awful

 

as for it not working it works i just don't want to be forced to play without a trainer

I've just played this mod. It's totaly awesome even on low pc or laptop. I like iv:sa but Imo its 2x better. And i can say, ive never played better mod than this. Russki vsegda dielayut luthye mody !

honestly this mod is realy amazing,rage team did a good job,the only thing bad is the launcher,not the whole mod,so they need to fix it or completely remove it,they can release a hotfix for the launcher,and it's not their fault that VCR doesn't work on winXP,I mean it's 2012 people get win7!

My game got updated to version 24 by the launcher, and now the game starts, and then I am getting stuck at the "starting new game" for minutes on end. Not sure how long I am supposed to wait, but I killed the process after two minutes.

It is a little to late for that, as the launcher already updated the game

As alot of zzTrolls spamed here about the tank with SNT is crap... You can find Tank on the first island we just hidded it for you to find it. Hunter is not ready yet, it has some bugs with it and it will come with second island on the army base.

Doesn't make any difference. I started over, stock EFLC, applied the files from the patch, then launched launhvcr.exe, it updated up until version 24, launch game, enter, stuck on "starting new game".

 

Edit to add, version 22 and lower versions did work absolutely fine for me.

Nothing is around, I once saw cars but very rarely. Also, weapons don't work. Can anybody help me?

 

FYI: I installed it on a clean EFLC folder, and followed the instructions in the readme. As I'm running the game on my sh*tty laptop, I'm using a commandline.txt which contains the following:

EDIT: I tried without any commandline stuff and still nothing. Graphics are set to minimum.
