Help with texturing in Grand Theft Auto SA!

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm kinda new to the GTAForums, so please don't have a go at me if I'm putting this post in the wrong topic or something. lol.gif

Anyway, onto my question. I have opened up a texture in TXD Workshop. The texture I have opended is called 'burrito.txd'. When I open the texture, two 'pictures' of what the vehicle looks like in-game appear on the right-hand side of the dialog box.

The only problem is, the two pictures are of the interior and the rim of the wheel on the vehicle. I want to be able to modify the look of the 'body' of the van (AKA the paintwork). So, my question to you is- Where are the images of the body of the van (the Burrito)!?

I have watched a few tutorials on YouTube, but none of these answer my question. I know how to export the textures to BMP format so that I can edit their apperance in MS Paint or GIMP, so you do not need to tell me how to do that. cool.gif

So, in a nutshell, my question is - "Where are the bodywork textures on the Burrito van?"

Thanks, Ritchie.

P.S - I'm only 12, so please don't ask me to go buy some program (such as Photoshop) to edit the textures in.

Thanks. icon14.gif

I believe the bodywork used textures that are shared with other vehicles (vehiclegrunge.txd maybe). So if you change it's going to affect other vehicles as well not just the burrito.

The solution is to redo the UV mapping in a modeling program(3ds max, zmodeler2 or gmax). Then you re-export.

Btw gmax is the free program out of these three but the export plugin is a bit buggy.

EDIT: Zmodeler 1 is also free and i think it has a plugin for san andreas models.

There are no body work textures for the van in san andreas , the majority of the cars have a standard colour that you can change in the paint'n'spray tuning shops, if you want the van to have its own texture you need to assign it yourself in a 3D modeling program and then add the bmp/tga to the burrito TXD

Also the A-team van has been done
