Ray Carter
I've an Idea for a Total Conversion Mod, but thats all it is right now. I need to know the steps and tasks with creating a Total Conversion Mod. A Quick Description: It's for GTA San Andreas & San Andreas Multiplayer. I want to make the game more realistic and better for online roleplaying. After completion, I hope to have a special client created to allow the mod to work online, Much like GTA United. I've had the Idea a long time and really wanna get started. I hope anyone can help, either posting links or giving insight. Thanks. ReeceMix
Everything begins in the imagination(Spirit), but only with Hard-Work and Dedication(Heart) can you turn it into something tangible. How far you can go depends on your own intellect (Mind) and what you are willing to learn to improve it. Step 1: A Journey begins with one step and you cannot jump ahead to the finish line. A Great Idea requires Greater Effort. Only when your spirit, heart and mind work towards the same goal will you progress, and may even inspire others to help you. However ideas are many and time is precious. Beware of Procrastination! for it steals life away. Accept bitter failure & sweet success for one is neither without the other, herein lies the meaning of life translated as a life of meaning. Ray Carter
I guess I should start with some kinda Advertisement to explain what I have in mind and see who wants to contribute to this. It'll take a while, but I know that alot of people are gonna be interested in this. GTA San Andreas is still superior to GTA IV and still has frequent users, probably alot due to Multiplayer. BnB
Many people who start Total Conversions, don't have a clue how to mod. These people make regular contributions to our Recycle Bin. Don't be one of them. Firstly you should learn how to make mods and start your TC and post some pics of your work some modders will understand that is a great idea and you are determined to finish it and you won't just give orders and if they like it they will join. Ray Carter
So, I was considering starting this idea back up when I realised this thread still existed. It's been five years and two days. For me, It's not about making a name for myself. I was hoping this would be more of a community project where modders can submit their work for a bigger project. The edge here is that this mod is for San Andreas Multiplayer. If anyone has already converted the Liberty City map for another project, maybe it could be used here. Some of my ideas have already been used for other projects anyway, so it's better getting their support or approval rather than doing something identical and be accused of plagiarism. As for my own work, I'm really only good at textures. I've designed some new skins for Police, Fire, EMS. Also, some new interiors for the Police HQ's. I'm also good with mapping, and I've tried out some ideas with re-furnishing some safehouses. gtafan2u
OK. So, what you made in these years? Or just thinking to start the work now? And what type of modders you want?
