xI Jakk Ix Posted October 20, 2011 Share Posted October 20, 2011 To do endurance races, you go into Online Race, choose Private Mode, then make the difficulty as hard as you can and the AI to 11. The track and number of laps is up to you. 4 miles around the Nurburgring earned me around 96k last time I did it. I don't like to close doors even on AI and even observe the F1 style 'one move' rule but it seems that in the earlier races (especially one make races such as the Trueno or Fiesta Zetec race), while they aren't scared of throwing one up the inside of you if you're pack racing, I'm finding myself being punted off quite a lot through no fault of my own as they try to out brake you as you're already out braking someone else! Mainly due to the fact that they like to play bumper cars with you every chance you get - if you are on their line of play you are f*cked. I've also noticed if you press rewind at any time on a straight after you've finished with it and go back to normal play they'll all suddenly take a hard turn to the middle of the road. I cant complain when they do that since most of them spin out by crashing into each other. I don't like racing in that mode just due to how hard pressed these AI guys are at wanting you off the road, which in the end I've resorted to bumper cars on certain corners. I've noticed though that about 50% of the time you actually get to the front you'll still have them come up behind you and knock you off which again kind of puts me off since I'm tending to look at the back of me more than I care to enjoy. But i never get charged for the damages? Or do you only get charged when you damage your car yourself? And aswell i noticed you get a 25% pay increase for racing with the rewind function turned off! I asked guy who is working in the shop where I'm buying my games and he said that they got only 25% of total number of ordered copies of collector's edition. Reason for this is simple. Microsoft is cutting numbers of limited editions of their games, because they should be limited as the name says. When you start your game, you will have option to start new game from very beggining or copy existing save from FM3. I made the mistake of not pre-ordering the game...but being newly married, with a 1 year old son, a pregnant wife, and recsntly moving into a new home, money was tight. After the game came out, I stopped at a few different Gamestops in my area getting the same "Well, if you didn't pre-order you can only get the standard edition..." answer. I tend to find I get the same thing, unless I can break free of the pack I end up having to pull off a switch back move once or twice a race which is relying on the AI not being completely retarded on their banzai moves. Actually I've noticed it pays to brake early as the AI will try a move no matter how late they brake. If you try to out brake them they'll simply try even harder and punt you off like an angry 9 year old online. Oddly, it's mostly on the one make series, bar any muscle car one make events. So i done some races on the event listing and started gaining some affinity for Bugatti, so eventually i got 100% discount on all performance parts. So i took some time and upgraded the Veyron to R1 catergory (852) which cost me nothing, and now im selling the tuning setup on the store front for 5K a pop. Mark Posted October 23, 2011 Share Posted October 23, 2011 Ah I see. Well I was going to make my own anyway, just found exactly what I was making already made. I've caught the bug now! The online bug. I hang about on the S class circuit racing with the RS500, taking on mental old touring/rally cars and modern supercars. The RS500 is like a f*cking rocket when it gets into 3rd or 4th but struggles with grip and general corner handing. Gonna play with the handling in time trial, maybe peg back a little on performance so I can upgrade the tyres without going over 700 points. I've been up against a few other RS500s that can hold on in long corners better than mine so I'm sure I can improve with setup. It's never gonna be a super car in the corners mind but my my it's fun playing against decent players who respect racing etiquette (well, for the most part anyway).
