Moth
Does the console work the same way as the one in Fallout 3, NV and Oblivion? Meaning you can use the console, save, exit the game and load up the same save and you still get achievements? meta187
@ForTAY: Yea, I tend to take out as many people as I can with a stealthy sneak crit strike from the archery then move in with the one hand flame combo when there's just one or two people left so I'm sort of giving all the skills a chance to build before the end of the fight. I totally agree that head shots should deliver noticeable and substantially more damage. Having someone run at me with an arrow sticking out of their eye socket and left ear not even staggering tends to make me think I'm fighting the T2000 instead of a bandit. @General: Yes. ~ Studio: Q-13 Lounge / Q:13 Warrior Tunes / Interweb Chex Mix, yo.~

Creed Bratton
Where the hell can I find some stronger destruction spells? I'm level 33, invested in destruction a lot and I still only have sparks and flames. I have a fireball and chain lightning as well, but I need something stronger. Mages college at Winterhold I would think? I would think so too but apparently not. And I have my destruction at

mrpain
Flames, Fireballs, Sparks, Lightning borks, Frost and my favorite, Ice Snipe are the only Destruction spells I need. I mainly treat it as my secondary attack if my sword doesn't do any damage. Question: When do the credits actually roll? 45 hours in and I only found 5 major cities. Moth
Question: When do the credits actually roll? 45 hours in and I only found 5 major cities. When you beat the main quest. Urban Legend
I climbed the sh*t out of a mountain last night. Took 90 minutes to climb it. I was going to speak with the Grey Beards and I left from the Helgan area right behind that rather large mountain... damn. I unlocked a area that I had thought would be extra special called the Throat of the world come to find out you go there later. I'm still only level 5 though. I got higher than the highest point on that mountain. Pics if your interested. Also mined a couple interesting pieces of Ore up there. Ebony and Malanchite* Beat that! illspirit
I believe I wiped out the guards of Solitude. Storm Call is an awesome shout. And it lasts quite a while. Anyway smithing level 80 moving on up so my tank of a character can don the dragon armor. Level 21. Say, whats the most effective way of lvl'ing smithing? Hunt some deer, turn the hides into leather and leather strips and create some hide armor. You make hide bracers and iron daggers. It levels you up a lot. It also helps to pick up and finish a quest called Unfathomable Depths from some crazy Argonian lady at the docks in Riften. Should probably be level 14 or 15 to even try it, but it's definitely a must for smiths. Also, once you have the Dwemer smithing perk, you can usually find enough scrap in one of their ruins to craft and sharpen a ton of daggers. Just be sure to memorize or write down the list of junk which can be smelted so you don't end up carrying lots of heavy, useless crap back out with you. And on that note, when are they going to release the mod tools? I want to make my own Dwemer ruins to live in!

Meaning you can use the console, save, exit the game and load up the same save and you still get achievements? Yeah, you can change the FOV with it too. The one thing I must say that I don't like in this game is the NPC reactions to dragons. Wildlife sh*ts itself and runs but people in the towns just walk around doing their everyday business with guards trying to go all one man army on the dragon. Still awesome fights though, just would feel more epic if everyone else shat themselves and I was a valiant hero (I guess mods will fix that). And does anyone know the person who trains and sells Illusion spells in the College of Winterhold? I asked the Archmage but they only told me where the other schools of magic are taught and I'm not interested in those.

Yeah i'd seen about that somewhere, just never really known where to find it. mattymcs
I must admit I really do love coming to this thread and reading about everyone's adventures in Skyrim. It really is one of the best games I have had the pleasure of playing in years. Hear hear. I wish I could be playing two Skyrim games at once to be honest. Love my Nord but I also quite like the idea of having an Orc beserker enlist with the Imperial Army. Do it then, start a second character and play them both. Thats what I've done. I have a level 31/32 argonian spellsword who has completed the companions quest, a few deadric quests, a little of the main story and some of the theives, specialising in one handed, heavy armour and smithing. and touching upon all the magic schools a little when needed. I have now also got a dark elf mage that is at level 9 now, who went straight to the College of Winterhold from the start of the game (after going to Whiterun to see the Jarl),who wants to master all the schools of magic, and is generally going to be pretty evil. Next stop after Winterhold is done is the Dark Brotherhood, and then he may join up with the Imperials against the Nords that have persecuted his Dunmer brethern that came over from Morrowind after the Volcano eruption. After that he may just have to take over the Thieves Guild and do all the extra missions... I will probably finish the Thieves Guild with the Argonian as I am well on my way with that, then do the main Quest and any Daedric quests I can find and hope that takes him to level 50. I am even planning a 3rd Character... a proud female Nord that is the true Dragonborn, who will move from the Companions missions to the Civil War, siding with the Stormcloaks of course, with the Main Quest missions inbetween the Civil War missions. It just seems fitting that a proud true that reclaims Skyrim for their countrymen before doing whatever it is that happens in the main quest. The twist being that its a woman that does it. I'm glad people are saying they like reading the post to see peoples adventures.... go back and checkout my post a while ago about buying the house in Solitude for a funny story. This game is just so massive that you don't need to do it all in one go IMO. Once you get your guy to 50 you will have all your main skills maxed or close to it and the majority of the time spent after that will be grinding skills that you don't even need or want to use. I never envisaged wanting to have 2 or 3 different characters prior to getting the game but its just so big that it totally warrants playing through with different characters and play styles. I have been playing 10 hours with my Mage and i would say about 10% of that time has been spent on doing stuff that my Argonian has done. I have found places and missions with him that I never even came accross in the 70 hours I ploughed into my Argonian. The good thing is I can move from my Dunmer to my Argonian at some point before it even comes close to getting stale. I can see me getting both of them to 50, easily, without even repeating that many things.
