Big Molio
I can't tell you how many hours I have sunk into Skyrim. I played it solidly for eighteen months when it was released in 2011. For all its bugs and flaws and quirks, it is still a bloody great game. I run it on XBOX Series X now. The mod support from Bethesda is very good (take note Rockstar) and most of the decent Nexus mods are ported over. This is my character below with Serana. I don't go in for all the heavy armour, I prefer the light armour / adventurer type look. The modular clothing mod which lets you layer up with all bits and pieces is pretty good. The sword is McLeod's katana from "Highlander", with flame enchantment. Is there any kind of mod similar to the video editor / photo facility in GTA ? Craigsters
I decided to play the oldrim original, the forced free content on the special edition was annoying me, I don't want to f*cking fish, I played bass fishing 20 some odd years ago on saga genesis and grew sick of it no mods on nexusmods to disable fishing either I reset all my achievements for the game, I had installed other peoples save games in the past that ruined my games achievements, google SAM and you'll find the program for it I also reset my achievements for the elder scrolls v skyrim special edition and Fallout 4 Edited April 19 by Craigsters "You don't understand! You're not forced to wear the creation club armors, or new amulets or have to use weapons you don't want to, just ignore the stuff you don't like. I did play the AE for a while, and i never been forced to go fishing or do ANYTHING i don't want to. This is a weird reason to not play the Special Edition anymore. I mean SE is much more stable, looks better costs less ressources because it's better optimized etc., why not make use of it lol. Oldrim is so outdated, that you need several crashfix mods, mods that allow you to allocate more ram, and other stuff, just to make it run acceptable and stable. Craigsters
Because in tell someone makes a mod to totally stop and block those four annoying creation club mods, I'll go oldrim mrfonzius and Mexicola9302 1 1 "You don't understand! Craigsters
@Creed Bratton I thought that mod was going to be a play on walters voice from breaking bad or something unfortunately that mods dependency is to big and awkward to use just for a bit of sh*ts and giggles Edited April 25 by Craigsters "You don't understand! Creed Bratton
I wouldn't know. It's been years since I played Skyrim. I see this mod as a proof of concept for developers to start thinking about the potential implementation of something similar into their future games. AkshayKumar
Tried Skyrim again after a while. What started as an innocent drinking contest in Whiterun ended up with finding my drunk self in Markarth having to clean up my mess in a temple, witnessing a murder in the streets and getting sucked up in some kind of conspiracy involving the Imperials, Stormcloaks and the natives. Oh and as I was trying to investigate this murder cum conspiracy some man persuaded me to enter a house suspected of devil worship and I ended up killing said man and am now doing the devil's bidding? Fun game. Markarth is gorgeous and a bit scary too. Mister Pink and Zello 1
Mister Pink
I finally got the upgrade to the Anniversary Edition. I haven't actually properly investigated all the new things and what there is to do. I had the Special Edition so I already had the graphics bump and 60fps for a good while. First thing I noticed as the ability to buy the rucksack that offers more carry weight. That's nice. I've always played completely vanilla Skyrim with no mods. I didn't want to block achievements - not that I really care about them.. it was an irrational fear of blocking a achievement but I might play around with some. Holding off from playing with mods and then playing with them now can give this game even more longevity. EDIT: Also, I was reading posts from 10 years ago in this thread for the lead-up and release day of Skyrim. It's very amusing and really makes me hyped for TES6. Jason
Started a new playthrough my self earlier - modded special edition, not the anniversary edition. Never really played a rogue in any non-MMO RPG, I usually go more of a spellsword, and I've had an itch to start a new Skyrim playthrough in a while so I've gone for a Bosmer rogue. Got a few mods that need fixing/updating based on the little bit I managed to play earlier before I had to head out mind you, lol. But early days I'm digging it so far. Really am looking forward to TES VI when ever that launches, ESO and my Skyrim save last year really cemented my love for the world and lore, so really looking forward to playing through a new single player RPG set in that world. DEADWOODZ
Really wouldn't mind getting back into Skyrim. Back in January i downloaded an all in one modpack of around 64gb, lol. I just don't think i can be chewed to go through the whole rigmarole again. It was almost a perfect modded Skyrim SE i had going on.
AkshayKumar
I finished the companions questline the other day and I liked it but I hear it is the least interesting of the four guild questlines in the game. Problem is I don't feel like joining any other guilds. I don't use spells at all so makes no sense to join the College. I don't want to join the Thieves Guild cause of the whole Nocturnal thing and unlike in the Companions questline i think you pledge your soul forever in this case. I could join the Dark Brotherhood and it's the one other faction I am kind of tempted to join but I play as a fairly honorable character so far and it feels like a dishonorable route to go, idk. I'm wondering if I am too stuck up about these details to miss out on some great questlines. I'm not too particular about having the most immersive playthrough or anything but at the same time it just doesn't feel right for my character to join any of the other guilds. ahhhhh. I need to resume the main questline again though I've been keeping thr Greybeards waiting forever lol. Just once I finish this mess in Markarth
Craigsters
I brought my new PC back into the livingroom and hooked it up, Skyrim on my old pc with it's regular none 144hz monitor screen, like my new pc has, the in game water kept flickering on my old PC with it's GTX 1080 card, was driving me mad the water flicking My new Pc monitor 27" Full-HD curved gaming monitor with bold new design. Featuring 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT (4ms, GTG) for smooth, immersive gameplay., hopefully the water flicker is handled better on the RTX 3060 Ti 4 month old PC "You don't understand! Mexicola9302
The GPU or monitor/TV doesn't matter, if it comes to graphical bugs, it's the game itself, maybe the FPS/HZ matter, but that is all. If you get weird water flickering on a 144 HZ/FPS monitor, you could just reduce the HZ/FPS down to 60, maybe that helps. I mean you are not forced to play with high FPS. You need a mod to fix the physics if playing with more than 60 FPS, for oldrim and special edition. I didn't notice any weird water flickering if playing Special Edition with permanent 120 FPS/HZ in 2160p, while the game is completly unmodded, except using engine fixes etc. so i mean no graphical or gameplay changes. Only using SKSE and stuff to make the game run at max framerate without physics bugs. After adding an ENB and many many graphic mods playing the game in 1440p, i noticed flickering grass, but that is all. Not even a 3000€ rig can handle an ulitmate graphics ENB with good FPS in 2160p so i have to play it in 1440p if fully modded else i get 40 FPS outdoors lol. Oldrim is just buggy, i remember having issues with water when i still had a SLI rig, that had 2xGTX 1070's, but with a single GPU that never happened. mrfonzius
Still playing Oldrim since I cannot be bothered to set up the mods I have again (some being available for Oldrim only). Among the quest/story related ones Vigilant is one of my favorites until today, with others still being WIP, I hope they will be finished one day. Plus if I would ever want to go fishing I would boot up AC: Valhalla. Edited April 30 by mrfonzius Mexicola9302
Craigsters
I also re-connected my new PC because it has a better audio card then my old PC, everything is louder on my new PC, movies from netflix and amazon prime are louder too , better heard with movies with dialogue, I had disconnected my new pc for a week or so, because I was mad, discouraged and frustrated with Dell on them screwing me over on my new PC and it's monthly payment fees, well that's taken care of now bankruptcy laws say it is mine now and Dell well write it off update No water flicker issue on my new pc with it's RTX 3060 Ti card is perfect no issues Edited April 30 by Craigsters "You don't understand! DODI3OG
Jumped into the game for a week now. Got the Special Ed for the 2nd time (since I lost my previous account containing the game) and the Anniversary upgrade on sale. I've been enjoying the game so far. I don't care about trophies, but I got myself the mod where all skills were already unlocked. It saved me a lot of time grinding unnecessarily. My build is usually focused on crossbows and AOE spells. My character wears the silver plate armor, just so happens to look like a mix of rogue, mage, and a warrior. I also carry a sword for those times I just wanna swing it. I also built my farmhouse in preparation for survival mode. I hoarded food and ingredients to last me quite some time. I just need more Salt Piles. XD The restricted Fast Travel makes it feel like MMOs in that you have to come to a "portal" at the nearest town if you wanted to travel somewhere else. I might craft a few dragonbone gear and sell them to various merchants for role-playing's sake.
Craigsters
EVG Conditional Idles this looks very interesting and makes it look more realistic Positive Undressed Reactions this looks fun to use , in player house's I use with live in NPC's a vampire NPC says, why the impropriety, when my character walks around with is loincloth only Pretty Combat Animations (PCA) SE makes it seem like a new game, another video at mod link with more detail I'm about to delve into mods that add new animation's and skeleton's to the character, I'm going to try out the following animation mods from nexusmods in the video's above, these are highly endorsed mods too and a couple that change the fallen and getting up action faster and the sneak animation better and another that adds spell's to make NPC's dance etc Edited May 7 by Craigsters "You don't understand! Mexicola9302
I got that EVG idles installed, it works perfectly fine, whenever im in snowy areas and don't got a weapon out, my char makes the freezing animation, if it rains and i got a shield in the hand, the char uses the shield as an umbrella etc. yeah it's a nice mod. I thought you don't play SE? Because you hate the fishing so much, even tho your not forced to go fishing. Edited May 7 by Mexicola9302
Craigsters
@Mexicola9302 I decided to play the game but avoid fishing to the very last minute and only start it when going to the riften docks the pretty animation mods require to many files to use, so I didn't install them, and the flying mod animation mods still looked silly so didn't install them either, If I want to fly I'll use Odahviing from Dragonborn to fly on Edited May 7 by Craigsters "You don't understand! Edward Nashton
After beating Elden Ring (several times) I've finally gone back to Skyrim because I'm still on a fantasy kick... and of course, I couldn't help but do what's popular now in games with a character creator. Gigan Chadus? Gigath Chadril?... Gigus Chadryn?
AkshayKumar
Now Gigus Chadyrn must traverse Skyrim unarmoured and unarmed with only the power of his voice being all he needs. Shout your way into domination. Last time I played Skyrim I was doing the forsworn quest in Markarth and got my butt kicked in the Borgrul the beast fistfight. Somehow Borgrul punched me through the locked gate and even though I lost the fight I could get to Madanach. I was still sulking at this embarrassment and though I wanted to kill all the forsworn I knew I couldn't do it without my weapons so I just ran away by myself. This quest came right after I became leader of the Companions and it was kinda funny, from becoming a figure of power I immediately got into a quest that made me feel utterly powerless. Humbling, my character is nothing without his weapons. Edward Nashton
